Columbia with it’s psychedelic opener, that has you straining at first to hear it builds up into one of those tracks that is definitely Oasis and no mistaking it. ...of Oasis' finest, and is definitely up there with the best. "Supersonic" was another single which does get you going , but don't listen too closely to the words , they're not very good, but that never stopped Abba, though they were Swedish so they've got an excuse. Though I suppose that Oasis are mancs so they have an excuse as well.

Advantages: Simply great music. Disadvantages: Original band members now gone.
Released in 1994, Definitely Maybe stormed the UK charts and slapped the blue side of Manchester all over our faces. We were confronted by two brothers who from nowhere demonstrated what an attitude problem is all about.
The original line up of Oasis gave us the Beatles, Rock, and bad fashion sense all rolled into catchy 5-minute tunes that would propel them to the front line of Brit Pop.

...they released their debut album Definitely Maybe (title from a quirky Manchester saying) all the hype and pre-publicity was laid totally naked. The Gallaghers had shouted their mouths off quite enough and unless they could come up with the goods they would have soon been just a faint footnote in the history of rock.

...brothers were entirely obnoxious scumbags. Definitely Maybe is in some people's opinions the best album ever produced by Oasis, and I would be inclined to agree, whilst also ruefully noting that they are unlikely to ever produce anything this good again.

Definitely Maybe was the debut album that shot Oasis into the major league in 1994.
