Advantages: Liam's vocal's have never been better Disadvantages: What?
The debut album from England's biggest indie band. No other debut album has had such an impact on peoples lives. This album includes their first top ten hit 'Cigarettes and alcohol' and one of their greatest songs 'Live forever'. This album has everything to make it a classic. Slow guitar songs with powerful vocals which in my opinion haven't been matched by another vocalist or even Liam Gallagher himself since. But it isn't only the songs which were ...

Advantages: Breath of fresh air Disadvantages: Too short
This album was a kick up the arse for British music in the 90s. Finally, music fans had a band to get genuinely excited about. They proved that they could live up to their extravagant claims. I find that I can't listen to this album any more, because I absolutely hammered it on release. That's as good a recommendation as I can give, strange as it might sound.
Oh, and one other thing..."Slide Away". The "Definitely Maybe" version of Oasis is the ...

The Best! Review ofDefinitely Maybe - Oasisby
ChrisT
Advantages: Every song is a classic, it isn't too long. Disadvantages: Have you not read the review?
The opinions on this site about this album, say a lot about its briliance, but not it all. One opinion describes them as 'Britains biggest indie band', that is certainly true, but this album made them Britains biggest 'rock' band. Noel describes it is 'a young persons rock and roll album', that it certainly is but to say it is just for yound people is to take something away from its greatness. It has several tracks which have been glamorised on TV ...

Advantages: Great Hits that made the Band what they are today Disadvantages: 11 tracks
As well as one of my favourites, this album has to go down as one of the best of all time, as Oasis were one of the bands that changed the music of the ninties and changed Indie/Brit rock forever. With the unforgetable numbers such as Live Forever, Supersonic and Cigarettes and alcohol, this album has plenty more tunes that will get you going. This album was the start of an amazing career for Oasis and the gallagher brothers, as theyre outstanding ...

This is a good debut album from Oasis. There are no number 1 singles on it but they are still all good songs. The best song on the album is cigarettes and alcohol or rock'n'roll star. Shakermaker is a good song too. The original band consists of Noel and Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll.
You will still find this album on many shop shelves at quite a good price. Even though there are no number 1 singles on this album, ...

Advantages: Cures all known 80s related pain Disadvantages: Erm...
I was suddenly stuck by a brainwave about why Definitley Maybe made such a big impact. I'd recently bought one of these CD collections with an excessive number of eighties "hits" within the hour the non stop overpolished electro type sounds no doubt sung by overpolished artists with shiny teeth was beggining to be physically painful, the only cure seemed to be to slip Defiately Maybe into the CD player and whack up the volume. It seems to me that ...

This is the worst oasis album of the lot. It is trying to hard to be cleaver and symbolic as the cover shows. I really found this album a very poor turn out.
I have enjoyed all their other albums but this was easily the most dull and deffinatly their worst. I seriously advise against bying it their other albums a simply great so go for those. The only good reason for byeing one would be to finnish off your collection but other than that i wouldn't ...
