My best album of all time! I love Daft Punk’s Homework too, but this one is definitely my favourite. Many don’t know who Daft Punk are: the guys are called Thomas Bangaltar and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Okay, okay. I admit it. I was a trashy pop and euro pap fan a couple of years ago but wasn't everyone? Advantages: Catchy, Great Electronic sounds, very good vocal
Disadvantages: Repetitive, Some tracks slow

...and fresh electronic dance music. Discovery was meant to be the best dance album in some time, many don’t agree, I have to ask why? I whole-heartedly agree with the critics. The album starts with “One More Time” which reached the UK top 5. This track is much more suited to a UK audience and is not as dance like as the rest of the album. Disadvantages: Releasing "One More Time" as the first single has made their audience a little cynical.

Bizarre electronic act Daft Punk splash back in to the charts with their new album Discovery, and I bought it! It really is quite a good album if you are in to electronic music. This is one of the only CD's I have bought this year, and I got it today (30/6). I get out of debt, and go and blow some cash on this album. Fortunately, my spending habits (eg. ...trying to make was that Discovery can be perceived in slightly different contexts: 1) a Discovery for me was this terrific album (yes I am getting to my op); 2) These guys discovered that they can do a great album without relying on the success of their last effort. At last it's here! The long awaited second album from the French phunksters Thomas Bangalta and Christo, AKA 'Daft Punk'. It has been over a year since they last released material under this guise. In the beginning Daft punk where a group of two frenchmen with a funked up attitude but as times progressed and styles changed this album was created. Advantages: Great tunes, humour (though not novelty) and a wonderful 80's vibe
Disadvantages: Final track 'Too Long' is as it says on the tin. Compared to first album, maybe they've sold-out a little bit.

Lets be honest - did anyone play the first album that much? Did anyone continually listen to it all the way through? I certainly didn't. 'Homework', Daft Punks first album was a great mish-mash of quite groundbreaking French house which included a couple of the best tunes of the last few years, 'Da Funk' and 'Around the World'. Daft Punk are a duet of two French robitically-masked musicians, their identities well hidden allowing them to bask in the glory of their Dance fame yet lead a normaly life outside music (if there is such a thing). But what they refuse to hide is their brilliance and this album optimizes their talent, it being filled with songs that take about a second to fall in a dope-like trance to.
