Advantages: Able to do things that could never happen before Disadvantages: Inconsistent
"Duets: The Final Chapter" came out in 2005. It was the third posthumous release from The Notortious B.I.G., who died back in 19997 in a fatal shooting. This release has modern producers take past material (both released and unreleased tracks) and take snippets of them to form completley new tracks, and have the remainder of the time taken up by raps from stars of the time. 1. "Intro" 2. "It Has Been Said" (feat. Eminem, Obie Trice and Diddy) Personally, ... ...the album as it began with Eminem, and I simply cannot listen to his music, so there was no way that I was going to feel this one at all. Em' produced it too, and so had full control over the recording. **One Star** 3. "Spit Your Game" (feat. Krazyie Bone and Twista) This was one of the single from the album, and it has Big's old material re-used and worked inot a club banger by one of the top party rap prodcers of that year, Swizz Beatz. With him ...

Advantages: Different Hip Hop Acts Disadvantages: None
If Big were alive today and he played this CD I'm sure he'd be proud of each every song on the album. It's hard to imagine that most of these songs are remixed from original Big acapellas and releases.
Songs like 'Nasty Girl' will attract all kinds of music lovers with its entourage of fine acts such as Jagged Edge & Nelly who add a more up to date appeal to the song.
'Spit Your Game' a remix of the orginal 'Lets Ride' will get plenty of airtime, ... ...legendary Swizz Beatz from the Ruff Ryders. The song also features Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony who did the original with Big and Twista who brings his style to the table, together they produced an awesome track.
Other tracks that should be paid attention are; 'It Has Been Said' featuring Eminem, 'Mi Casa' featuring R. Kelly and 'Watchu Want' Featuring Jay-Z.
This CD is definetly a must have for all hip hop fans. Track List

Advantages: Still good to hear BIG and some good special appearances Disadvantages: Lakes new material and far to few high quality songs for a BIG album
This album isn't really like a Biggie album, to be honest it was quite a let down. Most of the songs just consist of a couple of recycled verses from BIG and one verse from the featured mc, which usually just raps about how good BIG was - which is still a great thing as he is still a legend. But, there really isn't that much new material. Maybe they should have left it at Life After Death because unlike 2Pac, Biggie didn't record a lot of material ... ...verses over new beats which just doesn't live up to Ready To Die or Life After Death. However there are a few good songs such as I'm Wit Whateva (my favourite), It Has Been Said and 1970 Somethin. Probably worth buying but it is just a money spinning attempt from Diddy to try and live off Biggie's work (please dont sue me Diddy!). If you have his previous albums then you will probably recognise most of the verses and will not be too excited by the ...

Advantages: Another album of a legend Disadvantages: Not original
The Notorious B.I.G. is very well known man for everybody. When the first news appeared, that this album will be released, everybody impatient was waiting when the album will appear. At least they wanted to see what heritage this man have left after his death. The album includes 22 tracks. And in the album are featuring many famous artists: Diddy, Eminem, Obie Trice, Twista, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Big Pun, Fat Joe, Freeway, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Faith ... ...Jagged Edge, Avery Storm, 2Pac, Mary J. Blige, Nas, Lil' Wayne, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Mobb Deep, Scarface, Akon, Big Gee (Boyz N Da Hood), T.I., Slim Thug, R. Kelly, Charlie Wilson, Missy Elliott and even Bob Marley.
This album isn't very exclusive, it is seems that all the material that B.I.G have left after his death was put in to the album "Born again", and this includes only single rhymes and remix of old songs ("Spit Your Game"). There ...

Advantages: A breath of fresh air for biggie fans Disadvantages: Not the best mixtape around
Well, this is one of the best albums I have heard all year!
The CD is basicly a studio mixtape but VERY well done and with new vocals from the supporting artists.
As you probaly know, Biggie die a few years back. So all of his vocals on the album have been sampled and re-mastered from old acapellas and mixtapes.
The sampling and re-mastering is flawless and if you had never heard of Biggie, you may think it was a new album.
It has a great mix ... ...The tracks have mixed speeds and styles, according to the supporting actors. But I think that is the only disadvantage of the album. Some slow tracks are placed right after faster tracks.
My favourite thing about the album is the supporting artists involvment. It must have been hard for them to find the right material to add include in an album release by such a well known and loved rapper!
It seems like they all genuinely care about the released ...

Advantages: Great Vibe Disadvantages: Hard to pinpoint, but there r some minor disadvantages
Where to start.............
Well not all of the lyrics are new material, this is expected, some of biggies verses are sampled from mixtapes, but this is not a disadvantage.
But listening to the album all the way through, not for once did it not feel like the collabrations were all done at a time when biggie was alive, this is impressive production from the badboy team.
This album features endless respected hip hop acts such as Nas, The Game, Mobb ... ...justice with there duets. The beats do not fail to dissappoint at all.
Without contradicting i feel that some the new school rappers did not put the best lyrics into the duets, because in respects it would overshadow, some biggies fine work. This a minor disadvantage.
One of my favourite tracks is the one featuring R.Kelly, 'Mi Casa'. This tune shows how Robert (R. Kelly) is cabable of working with almost everybody. The beat is a typical R.Kelly ...

Advantages: Classic songs, great lyrics, good feature artists, new beats brought to old school songs Disadvantages: slightly commercial
Biggie is argueably the greatest rapper of all time. This CD takes some of his best tracks or well known songs and adds a modern twist to them. It features big artists of todays scene such as the game, eminem, jay z etc!if you like your modern hip hop then this album lets you have that with a slight old school mix. However, if you like your old school hip hop and not into the "commercialisation" of hip hop then this album may frustrate you as you ... ...i am not a fan of commercial hip hop, but i feel that this album hasnt done too much to the songs allowing it to keep its old school routes whilst adding that edge to the songs to spice them up. Classics like "juicy" are featured on the album. i think its one of the better "greatest hits" albums out there even if it isnt his orginal work! overall its definately worth buying and a must have for all hip hop fans! ...
