Feels Like Heaven
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
RazzaLazza
Advantages: Sweetly sung vocals, infectious choruses, powerful instrumental construction.
Disadvantages: Some of the lyrical choices are a little questionable.
Released in 2001, 'Echo Park' is the third studio album from Feeder; a twelve track construction of music featuring such infectiously catchy single releases as 'Buck Rogers' and 'Seven Days in the Sun' also. The album has a run time of just over 45 minutes in length and a strong 45 minutes of music it is too. The 'Echo Park' album consists of powerful guitar riffs a plenty, some super drumbeats, and the excellent vocal tone of front man Grant Nicholas ...

This Is Our Time We Cant Rewind Our Place To Shine
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Andy.mack
Advantages: 12 cracking tracks without any filler
Disadvantages: Last album as the original lineup
...in April 2001, they released Echo Park as their third full length album, at the same time as the re-release of Swim.
I think this was really the make or break album for the band and if things had back fired it would have been the end of Feeder. The results were pleasing and won the band a much larger fan base with the new sound and from there Grant seems to have excelled himself. He has created a more soulful, relaxed feel to the album and that ...

7 Days In The Sun Listening To This
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Ian2001
Advantages: All the songs have brilliant guitaring and Grant Nicholas is a brilliant singer. Also all the songs build up to the chorus very well.
Disadvantages: Only 45 minutes long!
...23rd of April this year, Echo Park is the latest and most successful album from the rock band Feeder. It contains the number 5 hit single, Buck Rogers and the brilliant Seven Days In The Sun single which made 14 in the charts.
Feeder are Grant Nicholas (Singer and guitarist) Jon Lee (Drummer) and Taka Hirose (Bass guitar).
There is a good range of music style on this album, like there are really fast up beat tracks like Bug, Buck Rogers and ...

momentary magic
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Daysleeper
Advantages: it'll get you jumping
Disadvantages: easily forgettable
Okay, got the music on in the background (surprisingly enough it’s Feeders ‘Echo Park’), got me cuppa beside me, and my photo’s of T in the Park just incase I forget my enthusiasm at some point! I’m ready, are we sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin…
I was at T in the Park this year to see a load of my favourite bands. Feeder where playing on the main stage and to be honest I had NO clue who they were. ...

Echoes of Brilliance
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Crazy-Christian
Advantages: Feeder are the future of British Indie/Rock music
Disadvantages: Could have done with a few more songs
Echo Park is Feeder’s third full-length album. It follows their brilliant 6-track mini-album, Swim (1996), their brilliant debut album proper, Polythene (1997) and their last, and it has to be said, brilliant, album Yesterday Went Too Soon (1999); the title track of which is my favourite song of all time: absolutely brilliant. That word keeps popping up, and it is well-deserved.
Feeder are a Welsh-Japanese trio, consisting of Grant Nicholas ...

Isn't drinking cider from a lemon a bit sour
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
dingmeister_2k
Advantages: The classic lyrics, the infamous Buck Rogers track. Fun for all tastes.
Disadvantages: They're only properly known for Buck Rogers, and there's more classics that they should release from this album to become more recognisable.
...the drummer sadly committed suicide). Echo Park is their third album to date (good luck finding the others, I've searched and searched and they are extremely rare), so I unfortunately cannot compare to previous efforts, I can however, take you through each of the twelve tracks that will rock your world.

Seven Days In The Sun - or 45 minutes of fun
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
flod
Advantages: Great happy tunes to please new and old fans.
Disadvantages: Its nothing new and revolutionary. Some say it's lyrically challenged
Echo Park is the new album from Feeder, and after much anticipation on my part I have found out that it’s a stonker! It caters for old and new fans alike, it has a range of diverse sounds which will all get you heads irrepressibly bobbing and your ankles twitching.
It’s been a slightly new experience for Feeder this time around. It seems that a lot more work was done with a producer Gil Norton and this really smoothes out some of the ...

A Bit Under The Weather
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
camomiletea
Advantages: some good tracks
Disadvantages: the rest, lacking individuality
...a few excellent tracks on Echo Park, it is an album that leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps Feeder should stick to 4 or 5 track special releases if it would raise the quality of their records. One gets the impression that Grant Nicholas has quite a few things to say (women being the main topic) but only has three ways of saying it - 1. soft, generally touching ballads, 2. bright grunge/pop 3. thrashy crap . The third way comes up far too often on ...

I defy you
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Manx
Advantages: Feeder are amazing. Oh, "Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days In The Sun". Not too costly.
Disadvantages: Lots of hype.
...you’ll be already to hail Echo Park (the album) as the best thing since beer and pizza. Then… then… you’ll discover that it isn’t all that amazing after all.
I was rather crestfallen when I first gave the CD a spin. The only thing which I was able to cling to was that I’d bought the album cheaply and that it had both “Buck Rogers” and “Seven Days In The Sun” on it (Did I mention that ...

Taking the train of youth back home again
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Modena
Advantages: Great alternative rock, nice lyrics, blinding tunes, lovely metal elements, I met Feeder.
Disadvantages: Seen it all before according to NME, just 12 tracks on UK version, no enhanced elements.
...(bass) who hails from Japan. Echo Park is Feeder’s fourth album and their second proper album, after Swim, Polythene, and Yesterday Went Too Soon. To me, Feeder has ditched their Metal roots and moved to a more popular Alternative Rock sound, fine by me.
The UK CD contains 12 tracks, one of which is exclusive to the UK. The Japanese version has about 4 b-sides including the Seven Days In The Sun B-side “Just A Day”, which is an ...

THE NEW FEEDER
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Dave_Smithy
Advantages: Clever songs which have meanings
Disadvantages: After all the radio play buck rogers is getting alttle annoying!
...the B-sides. The new album echo park took a takes a few listens to discover what is really hidden in the deep depths of the tracks. My advice to anyone who buys this album is read the insert, the insert has all the lyrics to the songs and personnally i feel the songs have really deep meanings. The track called "under the weather" features some great guitar riffs and the lyrics remind me of the feeling you get the morning after a heavy drinking night ...

Advantages: Great songs, Great music, Lyrically adept
Disadvantages: Not to everyones taste, lyrically songs are not varied enough

This is their latest Album Echo Park, there most commercial to date, and has secured them some success in the charts,
Feeder consist of:
Grant Nicholas - Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter
Taka Hirose - Bass player
Jon Lee - Drummer
Standing on the edge

A loud, slightly electronic tinged beginning to the new album. Good singing, lyrics that seem to infer that Grant was in some kind of emotional state he wrote the ...

He's got CD player...player...player..player...
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
dreamerz
Advantages: Singlaong, bounce along rock at its finest
Disadvantages: Production at times a little overpowering
It’s nice watching someone grow up in public. Grant Nicholas, despite now pushing 30 has spent the last few years doing that musically. Beginning with 1997s ‘Swim’ EP, Feeder have been gradually blossoming from a band with potential to great one in their own right. Whilst ‘Polythene’ at times seemed to have aped the Smashing Pumpkins most overblown moments a little too closely, and ‘Yesterday Came Too Soon’ ...

Feeder deliver once again...
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Airwalk2001
Advantages: Stunning variety of styles in this album.
Disadvantages: only 45 mins long.
Echo Park being the name of feeders latest offering, coming after the superb yesterday went to soon album which was a stunning album, so Feeder had a lot of pressure on them to produce something special and boy they have done just that with stand out tracks such as “BUCK ROGERS” and “SEVEN DAYS IN THE SUN”, the good thing about the album is it has got 4 or 5 stand out tracks on it and some decent B-Sides on it e.g. “CHOKE” and “TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS”.
There ...

Feeder Echo Park
Review of Echo Park - Feeder by
Chris_Padden
Advantages: All great quality - Quality not quantity
Disadvantages: Only 12 tracks, but otherwise none
...for a while now, but Echo Park is what really brought them nationwide fame. Feeder are perhaps a bit of a difficult band to class, mostly indie guitar, but on other tracks go more rock/nu-metal with louder sounds. For my personal preferance I do not like any Limp Bizkit/Korn, but will give anything from the Offspring to the Stereohonics to the Manics a listen. Feeder and this album in particular appealed to my tastes, and I would recomend it.
