Advantages: Awesome power; perfect rapping
Disadvantages: Ciao is not a rap-friendly place

I simply cannot believe that this album is appearing in bargain buckets or on reduced shelves. It is so good it hurts! Back in 1993 Hip Hop was changing tack. What can you say about the Wu?........they are comming though and the outcome is critical...This Album, totaly redefined the way hiphop was heading. you get lazy rapping from Puff Daddy, and commercialised from Will Smith, but as Dre, Eric B and Rakim, sugar hill gang all go down in history as shaping hip hop. With the hip hop industry heading on a downward spiral into obscene amounts of guns and violenve lead by the west coast g-funk, rap was becoming some what, over the top. This was the album that announced the arrival of the Wu-Tang clan and begun a global phenomena. At the time it was like nothing else out there with the Wu’s kung fu imagery (and samples) and masked faces. The track “Method Man” was the first to blow up but it is for classics like “C.R.E.A.M.” (cash rules everything around me) and the Gladys Knight sampling “Can It All Be So Simple” that this album will be remembered. Finally a decent rap group with a world of decent hits, there has not been a group like that for a while now. Sucsess lies in numbers, Wu-tang have about 10 members and are very sucsessfull. Sucsess lies in not realiseing any tracks, Wu-Tang havn't realised any tracks and are a superb rap group. Enter the Wu-Tang is a great album as it portrays all the Wu-tangs charcatoristics and all there styles. It gives the listen an idea of how Wu-Tang are related to Shaolin and other Martial Arts. Oh the good ole days when the wu had their distinct shaolin sounds. Where have they gone these days. The Wus first Lp is truly one of Hiphops true classics. It added a lot to the game, grimey beats, excellent flowing wordplay and flow. This mix of hiphop fused with shaolin culture was a true breakthorugh, refreshing rap. With the release of the Wu-Tang Clans third album, the W, its interesting to see that their debut album, 'Enter the 36 Chambers' still adorns the shelves of music shops worldwide, and is still very popular. Being the 3rd album I ever bought, 36 Chambers was definately a good choice, and despite years of listening to it, its still my favourite album.
