Advantages: Some very enlightening songs with a vast array of styles Disadvantages: Some lyrics are brutually honest and made me slightly uncomfortable at times
I defy anyone to tell me that they haven't heard of Robbie Williams. Former member of the hugely successful boy band, Take That, the cheeky chappy from Manchester left in 1995 to go solo. He went on to record one of the most popular songs (especially at Weddings) of all time: 'Angels'.
'Escapology' is his 6th Studio album (although arguably it's his 5th, as the album before this one is made up of songs from the Rat Pack 'Swing When You're Winning') ...

...well wide of the mark. Escapology ended 2002 as the best selling album of the year in the UK having sold over 1.4 million copies. It went on to sell more than 2 million copies and became classified 6x platinum by the BPI taking Escapology to the dizzy heights of 60th best selling album in UK history.
In 2003 on the back of this album began Robbie’s world tour and he was to perform 3 gigs at Knebworth which between them attracted 375,000 fans which ...

Lost in a Monsoon Review ofEscapology [PA] - Robbie Williamsby

Advantages: Singles releases from the album are what Robbie does best Disadvantages: I can't say much for the rest, a bit messy
...By the end of 2002, Escapology was the best selling album of the year in the UK selling 1.4million copies, and then by the end of the following year it had sold nearly 2 million copies. This made it the 60th best selling album in UK history. But it's all well and good to say at what point Robbie was at in his career, how does it actually sound? Does it stand the test of time being about 5 years old? Lets find out.

How peculiar Review ofEscapology [PA] - Robbie Williamsby
Smiley_Scarly
Advantages: Twelve amazingly great songs Disadvantages: One dodgy track and one that I just can't stand!
Robbie Williams. Should I really bother with this album explaining who the singer is? Maybe some would say not, as we can assume everyone knows, but hey assumptions can be wrong. Robbie Williams was a member of a massive boy band called Take That. He left, then they split. From Take that, most people, I reckon, expected the main singer - Gary Barlow - to do the best, but in fact not one member of Take that has had a better career that Rob. He had ...

Advantages: Some great music, with a good US/UK mixture Disadvantages: Well you do hear a lot about Drugs in the songs.....
...time of the Fifth album Escapology Robbie started to really let rip and open up. This album has some great songs on it.
--- The Cover---
The cover of an album can be one of those things that either enhance the enjoyment or destroy it completely. In this case it is the former rather than the latter as the cover is something that only Williams can pull of and not only typical of something he would do. It actually looks like he is paying homage ...

...special. Let me explain more…
*** Escapology - Title and Artwork ***
The title has a number of connotations, signifying a significant stage his life; his 'escape' from the hounding paparazzi in the UK and his move to LA. Alternatively, it could signify an escape from his usual style of music…who knows! The cover is Robbie hanging upside down with his Arms stretched out looking as if he is about to fly away, hence the title.
**How peculiar

Advantages: You might like it Disadvantages: I over analyse everything, it's a big op
It may come as a surprise to you, it did to me, but I like Robbie Williams. Up to now, after dismissing him for being a boy band choice cut (piece of meat) at first, I have enjoyed most of his work, Rock DJ being my least favourite track. Some of his songs have been clearly influenced by his peers (whoever they are), but have always been well put together and entertaining and there have been some gems amongst the well done but predictable coloured ...

Advantages: all tracks are brilliant, he experiments with different styles, the lyrics and melodies are incredible Disadvantages: robbie's ego, same taste in music as my mum :oS
Escapology would probably have to be my Desert Island CD. You know - the one cd you would take with you to listen to day in, day out if you were deserted on a remote island with nothing but the clothes on your back (and this robbie cd, of course) and no hope of ever returning home (i'm assuming that there is a cd player and fully functioning, 3-pin plug socket on this island. one would hope.). Well, yep. This is mine.
I'll admit that, from the ...

Advantages: An album that will be played over and over Disadvantages: One naff track
Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Robbie Williams is talented. Before I go any further, I have to say that as a person I think he is an arrogant little turd, but after buying Escapology, I have appreciated his music more than I ever have done before.
Robbie first came into our lives with the boy band Take That, and was always known as the cheeky one. As we all know, Robbie made the break and soon after Take That decided to go their separate ...

He's the ONE. Review ofEscapology [PA] - Robbie Williamsby
Poison
Advantages: Come on its Robbie for crying out loud, isnt that a big enough advantage. Disadvantages: None on this album but Guy Chambers has left sob...sob.
Yes people I hold my head up high and I'm proud to say I am a huge Robbie Williams fan. I was standing outside my local Woolworths at 9o'clock, the day this album was released because I had to be one of the first people to purchase it, and at 9 minutes past 9 the album was firmly in my grasp. So this review is bound to be a tiny bit biased, sorry, got to love him though.
Escapology his 5th solo album is very different from any of his past albums. ...

Advantages: A new maturity, divine lyrics Disadvantages: He does annoy people,so they don't give his music a chance
Robbie Williams is a man who is continually in the news, whether it is claims he actually did the deed with Nicole Kidman, or his current relationship with Rachel Hunter, and many people were starting to doubt his longevity, and he was starting to become infamous. For this reason, I think that his 5th album 'Escapology' is the most important album in Robbie's career so far, as he really has to prove that he can cut the mustard. He is another artist ...

Advantages: Very easy to listen to. Grows on you. Some quality tracks. Varied mix. Disadvantages: Some are quite bland and weak.
This album, co-written by The Robster himself, sold millions of copies and stayed at Number One in the charts for, I believe, quite a long time. Much hype was generated, and in my opinion, quite rightly too.
When I first requested this album for Christmas 2002, and subsequently received it, I had to admit on first listen, myself and my family weren't too impressed with it. The first few songs do tend to melt into each other and don't really have ...

Shopsmart.com shows that Escapology is available for between £9.99 and £13.99, plus delivery charges, with Audiostreet being the cheapest overall at £10.99 inc p&p. RobbieWilliams.com has an area where you can listen to the new album online, but for the sake of £11, this really is a decent album that you should have in your collection. If you’re a big Robbie fan, then you would give this a 5/5. As a neutral, I would say ...

ESCAPOLOGY ~ ROBBIE WILLIAMS
Well it's Monday and its that time again for Product of the Week and this weeks it's Robbie William's Escapology so here's my review on the hunk of music.
One of the things my other half regretted was when he saw Robbie Williams all those years ago in a hotel in Scarborough he never got his autograph and now he’s famous!
For those of you who don’t know who Robbie Williams is, he’s the guy who ...
