Advantages: Singles releases from the album are what Robbie does best

It may come as a surprise to you, it did to me, but I like Robbie Williams. Up to now, after dismissing him for being a boy band choice cut (piece of meat) at first, I have enjoyed most of his work, Rock DJ being my least favourite track. Some of his songs have been clearly influenced by his peers (whoever they are), but have always been well put together and entertaining and there have been some gems amongst the well done but predictable coloured ... Escapology would probably have to be my Desert Island CD. You know - the one cd you would take with you to listen to day in, day out if you were deserted on a remote island with nothing but the clothes on your back (and this robbie cd, of course) and no hope of ever returning home (i'm assuming that there is a cd player and fully functioning, 3-pin plug socket on this island. one would hope.). Advantages: An album that will be played over and over

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Robbie Williams is talented. Before I go any further, I have to say that as a person I think he is an arrogant little turd, but after buying Escapology, I have appreciated his music more than I ever have done before. Yes people I hold my head up high and I'm proud to say I am a huge Robbie Williams fan. I was standing outside my local Woolworths at 9o'clock, the day this album was released because I had to be one of the first people to purchase it, and at 9 minutes past 9 the album was firmly in my grasp. Advantages: A new maturity, divine lyrics
Disadvantages: He does annoy people,so they don't give his music a chance

Robbie Williams is a man who is continually in the news, whether it is claims he actually did the deed with Nicole Kidman, or his current relationship with Rachel Hunter, and many people were starting to doubt his longevity, and he was starting to become infamous. Advantages: Very easy to listen to. Grows on you. Some quality tracks. Varied mix.
Disadvantages: Some are quite bland and weak.

This album, co-written by The Robster himself, sold millions of copies and stayed at Number One in the charts for, I believe, quite a long time. Much hype was generated, and in my opinion, quite rightly too. When I first requested this album for Christmas 2002, and subsequently received it, I had to admit on first listen, myself and my family weren't too impressed with it. ...partnership was severed. Shopsmart.com shows that Escapology is available for between £9.99 and £13.99, plus delivery charges, with Audiostreet being the cheapest overall at £10.99 inc p&p. RobbieWilliams.com has an area where you can listen to the new album online, but for the sake of £11, this really is a decent album that you should have in your collection.
