Advantages: Original, innovative, classic Prodigy Disadvantages: Some tracks are a little lengthy with much of the same stuff
This was the debut album of The Prodigy that was released in 1992 by XL Recordings. The album is truly the groups most innovative work and many of the tracks have themes running through them that are rather random, yet kinda humerous and remind some of old adverts (Charlie - "Charlie says always tell your Mummy before going off somewhere").
The tracks can be viewed as similar in places, but on the whole they all have a distinct difference and I ... ...their tracks does give each one a distinctive memory that you will instantly associate with. I think that you will notice similar themes running through their second album - Music for the Jilted Generation - but there are sets of very different music from here on out for the Prodigy. The second album features swearing, thats not something I am particularly fond of in music, but apart from that the Prodigy have done a good job there too.
Some say ...

Advantages: Brilliance, genius and originality of classic Prodigy. Disadvantages: Tends to get a tad boring in some places.
This is classic prodigy. and when i say classic i mean classic, because this does not sound like Prodigy. or should I say Prodigy's new stuff is NOT Prodigy, this is them, in their prime. All the songs have differences, and individuality, and in all their own rights, brilliance. It has classics like "Charly" and "Out Of Space", yet these songs are unknown to apparent "Prodigy fans". This song is quite comical to say the truth, many casually made ...

Experience by The Prodigy - one of the best albums ever! I first bought this album when I was about 10 years old in the 90's. This is The Prodigy's first ever album in the dawining of the 'rave' era in the 1990's. Containing absloute classics such as 'Out Of Space', 'Everybody's In The Place' , 'Charlie' and much more.
I cannot praise this album enough, it is the catalyst that got me into electronic music. All of thetracks on it are geniously produced ... ...music and countless producers have been influenced by this.
This album covers so many genres of music including rave, techno, jungle, dub, raggae. I myself as a techno producer and DJ frequently play tracks from this in my techno mixes including techno mix cd's and techno club mixes also.
If you have an interest in any sort of electronic music - BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!!

Advantages: Still good to listen to and very original Disadvantages: Prodigys music has changed a lot since and may not be to everyones taste
This is the debut album by the prodigy and was released in November 92. This band originated from the rave scene of the early 90’s and started their career played at raves and small clubs.
Their second single, ‘Charly’ got to number 3 in the charts, this gave rave a big step into mainstream music and into the charts. This single sampled the famous saying from the children’s safety ad with the cat and the young boy saying ... ...somewhere’. After it was release many copycat type singles were released, such as ‘Trumpton’, ‘Rhubarb And Custard’ and ‘The Smarties Sesame’s Treet’. Many have said that this explosion of rave tracks into the charts ended the rave scene and as the prodigy’s single was the first of these, they were accused of killing rave.
Other singles released from this album were ‘Fire/Jericho’, ...

Advantages: Classic Prodigy Disadvantages: More restrained style than recent albums
This is the Prodigy's debut album and is the start of a great career. This first album orignates from the late 80's rave scene. Despite these underground links the album succeeded beyond the groups expectations in the chart scene. Singles such as Your Love, Charly, Out of Space and Fire all hit the top 20 of the charts.
It is a good album, but will not appeal to some of the fans of their second two albums. This is beacuse the album is refrained ...

Advantages: great fun Disadvantages: rather repetitive
This album is a classic collectors piece for anybody interested in the origins and development of dance music today. Whilst I am a bit fan of the Prodigy, I think this, their first album, really does tell of the music scene as it was in the very early 1990s. The cheesy rave lyrics, poorly sampled and stretched, are interesting to listen to just to wonder how these songs were ever really seen as vaguely 'cool'. As an album of its time it was nothing ... ...the song said to have 'killed' the rave scene: Charly. An unremarkable piece in itself, Charly involved a sampling of a public information video and was said to have triggered the beginning of the 'cheesy rave' era. Yet having listened to the other tracks on the CD, you should be in no doubt that Charly was not the worst offender. While I quite enjoy the Experience, it is definitely an album to be taken at face value: an average but in retrospect ...

Advantages: Amazing Original, Fast, Slow, High, Low all at once Disadvantages: None
The Prodigy were an underground dance act playing there way through england at under ground raves and clubs such as Shelly's in Stoke and Eclipse at Coventry.. the whole feel of the album from the joke song "out of space" (that takes the rise out of a rival act - Altern8 from Staffordshire, who allways wore black head to toe suits, with florescent yellow dust - masks.) to the true mood song weather experience... a mellow swooping tune, that pulls ...
