Funhouse - Pink

...Not Dead might just beat Funhouse slightly. The tracks on I'm Not Dead seem to flow a lot better than Funhouse does. On I'm Not Dead, I've always liked the way it started with Who Knew and the slower songs before building up to songs like I'm Not Dead and U + Ur Hand. ...new album "Funhouse". Funhouse features some great tracks; none more so that her latest huge hit "so what", here is a rundown on the tracks on the album and my opinion on them. Pink has recently released Funhouse her fifth album, I have all her albums and saw here in concert last year, she is fantastic live so getting her new album was on pre order weeks ago. Once again I was not disappointed this album was everything and more than I expected. I still think im not dead was her best album to date. I have followed Pink along her musical path from her original style presented on her first album "M!ssundaztood" to this, her most recent album. In my opinion, this is one of her most far reaching albums to tempt most ear and has a little bit of something for everyone. From main stream pop, to camp fire soul stirring tones; I am sure this will raise the ears of most listeners. True, we can't all be raving fans but I do respect the well presented ...
...It certainly presents a more mature tone than others may have critised her for and you can really start to acknowledge that she's showing the sort of music that she really like to produce. It's upbeat tones should raise a smile and a foot tap with plenty of melody to sing along to. P!nk's new album shows how she's matured a lot since "Cant Take Me Home" and "M!ssundaztood" when she was seemingly writing songs about her troubled childhood and such. "Funhouse" sounds like a typical P!nk album music wise. Lyrically, its obvious she's mad at her ex-husband, and has channelled it through her music. As before, its ful lof musical variety, but a lot 'poppier' than her previous albums. But its still a great P!nk album. From upbeat catchy pop choruses like "So What", to more solemn, softer acoustic tracks like "I Dont Believe You" give you the trademark P!nk. All in all its your typical, girly, boy-bashing P!nk album, with a modern day poppy P!nk edge to it. With totally not enough tracks. ...

I think that this album is good, however compared to her other realises, a bit of a let down. As with her albums it shows real life, or past experience she has had personally. Compared to tracks like 'Just like a Pill' or 'Get this party started' the album is a BIG let down. But i think this one is better than her 'Can't take me home' album. Conclusion: Pink belts out ballads of anger, disbelief and heartache with that wickedly throaty voice of hers, and yet still manages to give off the "emotionally fragile" vibe that makes for a great musical mix. Well half the album is or alludes to being about separation, divorce and about getting rid of that unwanted other half! Pink gets straight to the point: "So What" and "I Don’t Believe You" - perhaps her relationship is over because she doesn’t care or care to believe - at least that's what she wants us to believe! Nevertheless, Pink does also allude to the pain of separating from the other half, good or bad, it always is to a lesser or greater extent ...
...always going to be to a lesser extent - check out "Mean" and, of course, "Crystal Ball", which dances around the divorce. "Please Don’t Leave Me" is a fantastic song and her voice on that track beautifully pushes the anguish away.
