Madonna has been around for twenty years, and she will be around for probably another twenty years, and this album pinpoints why she managed to carry on changing her image and music. This album reached number 2 in 2001 (beaten by Westlife!) and fell out the charts quickly unlike her previous Greatest Hits, The Immaculate Collection, still visits the charts and has sold 40 million copies worldwide and counting. ...second greatest hits album named GHV2 (Greatest Hits Volume 2) which consists of her hits between the years 1991 - 2001. I would have thought she would have called it Immaculate Collection 2. The CD has 15 tracks in all and unlike The Immaculate Collection, this compilation shows the diversity of Madonna and how, over the years, she has constantly reinvented her image and tried different material. ..."Best Of" album, simply entitled GHV2 (Greatest Hits Volume 2). So how did she get from there to here. The album track list seems a good way to explain it. Track 1: Deeper and Deeper (7" Edit). Taken from the liberally slated Erotica album, this song features a serious hook. Did she think Greatest Hits Volume Two was too conservative a title? Was it a case of Madge trying to hit us from leftfield 'I know, this'll confuse them'? In any case, a silly title. I was really shocked when I saw the advert for this and I actually wanted to buy it! I have always had this thing inside me that kind of liked Madonna, but I have never had the courage to go and buy one! So there I was in Virgin Megastore debating whether to buy Madonna or something else. I just went for it; I picked it up and bought it. Disadvantages: missed out some good songs.

I am a big madonna fan as you an probably tell from the title. In my opinion this cd is great, not only does it have some of my favorite madonna tracks (but where is my ameican pie hmm?) but it lasts a long time. What does he mean lasts a long time? you say My Cd hasnt jumped once in the 10'000 time i have played it. Whereas the Now collection start to jump after about a fortnight.
