Disadvantages: I don't dig Eternal Life, not many memorable musical moments

...is not the case with Grace (and I'm guessing his studio recordings in general). Jeff Buckley doesn't go for straightforward chords and chord progressions, and some of the song structures are complex, at least for my attention span! Advantages: Almost all we have of a prodigious musical talent
Disadvantages: Can make everything else in life seem pale in comparison

...would be even better. Grace would be difficult to improve upon but I'm certain that Jeff could have done it. He never got the chance, and we're left to make the most of what we have of his voice and his music. I first discovered Jeff Buckley about two years ago whilst watching an interview with Muse on MTV2. Matt Bellamy was explaining how he was moved to 'sing like a woman' after listening to Buckley. The video for 'Grace' was played and i immediately got to tracking down the album! The late and great Jeff Buckley, son of legend Tim Buckley, recorded only one studio album before his untimely and tragic death. Grace was simply a beautiful album. Jeff Buckley was an immensely talented singer, and his loss to the world was a loss to all of us. You have only to listen once through the album to appreciate his sheer brilliance, though it takes many more to truly understand.
