Advantages: All the song you know and love
Disadvantages: Not in the right order

...is a many splendored thing 24: Grease (reprise) And it all weighs in at just under 52 minutes. You would have expected more from 24 tracks, wouldn't you? But then, there are a lot of one and a half minute tracks in there. So there you have it. As you can see, the songs on the album are in nothing like the order that they are in the film. Perhaps then it should be more surprising that the soundtrack still sounds so good, and that so many people still relate to it. Why has Grease gone down so well as a classic? Is it a movie or a musical? I think musical. The soundtrack has all the songs from the movie on it but personally I think that they are too old to still be enjoyed today by young people because they have a golden oldies style (shudder). Not only was the film excellent but the soundtrack is just as good! This is an all time classic that will never go out of fashion! Its a great soundtrakc for karaokes and general dancing around your bedroom! haha Even with its old style it is brought up to date with its megamix soundtrack which is great for any kind of party! ...We Go Together. Last is Grease (Reprise). There's also a song called Love is a Many Splendoured Thing, which is the one at the beginning when Sandy and Danny are at the beach. I love all the songs on the album except Love is a Many Splendoured Thing and Alone at the Drive in Movie, which are mostly instrumental and kinda boring. It is therefore obvious that the soundtrack is going to be very good and it is indeed so. The film itself is considered a classic and the soundtrack is the same for the same reasons. OOH OOH OOHH HONEY. THIS COLLECTION OF SONGS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST DANCED TO SONGS.NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU GO, YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE DANCED TO THESE SONGS. Grease is one of the best musicals that I have ever seen and what makes a musical? Of course Music. So hearing the music of one of the best musicals ever crammed onto one CD is just plain fantastic. This compilation contains a lot of classics still listened too and enjoyed today. Both the quality and variety of music on this CD is excellant and definately well worth listening to. If you've seen the movie, and love the music in it, pick up this single disc reissue of the original classic 2-LP album. I have the original record album and played it quite frequently. It's good to hnag on to, but in the past year I bought this single disc and don't have to worry about this getting worn out. All the original songs from the film are here. This soundtrack is an absolute classic! The songs are brilliant and most people know them off by heart. One of the local shops near me plays it nearly constantly and all the customers can't help but sing along. People who have seen the film will love it, but even those who haven't seen cant help but be uplifted by the songs on this cd.
