All those men in make-up, all those really bad taste in clothes and the Austin Meastro, surely something half decent had to emerge from the 1980's. Looking back at it all now though its hard to think of a song I liked that wasnt sung by men in make-up wearing extremley dodgy clothes! This combines the 80's classics of Rio, Planet Earth, New Moon on Monday etc with the newer hits from the wedding album like Ordinary World and Come Undone. This CD hasn't left my player for a long time now, as out of the 19 songs i listen to 18 regularly, the one i don't listen to is i don't want your love. Well, really is a few hard choose a Duran Duran's record for to write my opinion because I am a big fan of them since 80's and I love all their reccords. But, as I have to choose one I have did that. Of course, I could choose "Decade" but never mind. This Cd is so special because it has the best Duran Duran's songs, also it has my one of my favourite "New Moon" that wasn't in "Decade" and I missed it so much. But, it is so special for another ...

Many feel this as an unnecessary money making exercise. However this album features edits and mixes that are not completely accessible in the UK. By making this album they have given more people the best mixes of their music and have made sure that songs of a lesser standard are not there. The album starts with their more well known hits such as "The Reflex", "Rio" and "A View to a Kill" and closes with the lesser known songs "Electric Barbarella" and "Serious" but are no less worthy of being on the album. ...

...heady pop mix. Greatest contains their hit singles from their first album Duran Duran though to the wedding ablum. Hits include Girls on film, hungry like the wolf, Rio,wild boys and ordinary world to name a few.They hold up surprsingly well with their catchy lyrics and Duran always were a classy pop band. Duran Duran pretty much epitomised and dominated the UK 80s music scene, and along with The Teardrop Explodes were one of the few good acts to spawn from the New Romantic movement. duran were to the 80's what take that were to the early nineties and the bay city rollers to the 70's. here is a semi definitve collection of the best of duran, from planet earth and up to and including electric barbarella, with old faves such as the reflex and wild boys.
