Advantages: A nice balance of hits from one of the best bands in the eighties
Disadvantages: One or two bad tracks

...are so much better. On the Greatest Hits album, they have made a good balance of all of their best including the likes of Walk Like An Egyptian, In Your Room, Hazy Shade of Winter, Manic Monday, Hero Takes A Fall and Going Down To Liverpool. ...a compilation album "The Bangles Greatest Hits". I purchased this, and it is fantastic, it has all their best songs on it. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are a fan. ... Read review

Advantages: The early tracks are excellant

At the time the bangles seemed to be charactorised by "eternal flame" their biggest hit, which is sad since this sloppy ballard is not typical of the excellant singles they produced which had more of a a boppier edge. Breaking out of the LA Paisley Underground, their 1st 2 singles "Hero takes a fall" and "going down to Liverpool" are excellant 60's pastiches, a style seen later in their cover of "Hazy Shade of Winter".
