Advantages: Well, its Queen, and their Greatest hits are on it.. Disadvantages: Their worst track is also on it, taking a valueable space.
...Queen attended the funeral. The Greatest Hits album, this one got produced in 1994, so Freddie was not there to see his legacy, selling over 300 million copies. A tribute concert, which took place at Wembley Stadium for an audience of 72,000, featured a wide variety of guests including Elton John, Metallica, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Guns N' Roses, Elizabeth Taylor, George Michael, Def Leppard and Liza Minnelli. ...song that starts off the Greatest Hits CD, and over an hour of cracking tunes.
You don’t have to be a Queen fan to appreciate this album, and even if you haven’t heard of many of the songs (where have you been?!), then you will soon be taken in by the amazing vocal range of Freddie, and the guitar skills or Brian May. The sheer volume and differing styles of songs makes you appreciate the songwriting skill of the group collectively and individually, ...

Advantages: Great baselines, vocals, guitar solos, drums, well everything basically Disadvantages: Flash and some great songs missed out
Released in 1981 Queen Greatest Hits, or Greatest Hits I as it's now known due to their continued success, is a compilation of Queen's classic early albums including A Day At The Races, News Of The World, Sheer Heart Attack to name but a few. The album contains 17 of their best tracks but they are perhaps not the best 17 if you get what I mean, I'll explain later.
For the newcomer to Queen (hey there must be someone out there who has never heard ...

...Bohemian Rhapsody does appear on Greatest Hits 2, but I feel it should have been on the first one!)
Here is a brief comment on some of my favourite song on the album:
Perhaps one of the most recognisable rock anthems of all time. This song epiimizes the power and passion of Freddie Mercury and Queen. It is very catchy and will soon have you singing along. It is a typical queen song with heavy guitar combining with ...

Advantages: The best compilation album ever Disadvantages: A few good songs were ommitted
Although Greatest Hits I by Queen contains some essential tracks (Bohemian Rhaspody, We will rock you...etc), Greatest Hits II contains some of the best songs Queen ever wrote. Songs like A kind of magic, I want to break free, Radio Ga Ga and Hamnmer to Fall etc are all some of the bands most enduring material and is loved by all. This is a very good album, I believe everyone with a healthy interest in music needs a copy of this album somewhere. Its ...

...one of the best. Queens greatest hits 1 was the first Queen album I bought about 2 years ago and still ranks as probably the best of the 9 that I own along with the equally excellent. Queen had so many hits during their life and this represents most of the best of them, being in my opinion considerably better than Queens 2nd and 3rd greatest hits album although it is missing two of my favourite Queen singles ‘The Show Must Go On' and the brilliant ...

...no wonder that their first greatest hits album sold and sold and sold - and has never stopped doing so. How could any other group match a track record that includes "Killer Queen", "Crzay Little Thing Called Love", "Another One Bites The Dust", and of course the incomparable "Bohemian Rhapsody"? Though it's often overlooked, I've always loved "Save Me"; Freddie's pleading vocal and Brian's astonishing guitar on this were rarely bettered. And I've ...

...was Queen. In terms of Greatest Hits this is one of the best ever and confirms that while they didnt make any outstanding albums they were a great singles band. Individually they are almost second to none. Now lets look at the evidence: there is Brian May, one of the most gifted guitarists of all time. His wonderfully individual style stands out on all records. Freddie Mercury needs no introduction and is the consumate showman. John Deacon is an effective ...

I first discovered this CD in my parents collection when I was a very young teenager, since then no other band has come close to my Number One Hotspot! The incredible vocals from Freddie Mercury (real name Farookh Bulsara) and awsome guitar solo's from Brian May, are sure to give you goosebumps!
The CD starts with one of the most memorable tunes of their history, Bohemian Rhapsody. Too many times have I attempted to sing this one with the lads ...
