A Musical Masterpiece
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by grown_up_girlie

Advantages: A musically sound album!
Disadvantages: If you don't like eccentricity then its not for you!

...my opinion, one of the greatest all time rock bands ever. What felt like every day of my childhood, I would hear a 'Queen' song playing on the radio, TV, tape or record player (80's remember). I seemed to know the lyrics and tune to every one of their songs before I could even talk properly, let alone sing. To this day I remain an avid fan of all these hits! Now, please let me introduce you to one of the greatest CD Albums of all time…… ……Queen ... Read review

A great cross section of 80s and 90s Queen
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by Simoncook1

Advantages: Some great variations on classical Queen
Disadvantages: May no appeal to hardened rock fans

...as they hammered out their greatest hits. It was therefore inevitable that a greatest hits album would be released. This became very successful, however many people asked 'What about xxxxx, or where's yyyy' and therefore a second Greatest Hits album was created. This album concentrated on the second half of the band's albums, basically starting from the 80s up until Freddie Mercury dies (in 91). Kind Of Magic, ... Read review

Queen at its commercial best
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by CaptainKidd

Advantages: Its Queen
Disadvantages: none

The original Greatest Hits album had covered the years 1973 through to 1981 . Five albums followed , plus one live album , and of course ‘Queen At The Beeb’ , which was made up of early Queen recordings for the BBC sessions , before ‘Greatest Hits II’ was released in 1991 , an album was set to reach No.1 in the charts, and have a shelf life in excess of 100 weeks . As with GH I , not all single releases were to be found on GH II , again these ... Read review

...other being The Beatles 20 Greatest Hits). Just in case you need to know..........Queen began their recording history in 1972, a four piece band, consisting of Freddie Mercury (vocals, piano etc.), Brain May (lead Guitar), Roger Taylor (Drums) and John Deacon (Bass), their first major hit, Killer Queen reached no. 2, and it was Bohemian Rhapsody making the no. 1 spot in 1975 that really made them, in 1981 a Greatest Hits collection was released, ... Greatest hits - and some not so great
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by JOHNV

Advantages: Part 2 of a great group's career
Disadvantages: Inconsistent - a few also-rans

...to that on the first Greatest Hits, though the single version of "I Want To Break Free" which you will find here is not the same as the album version on "The Works", which lacks the spine-chilling synth intro and just has a couple of bars of a single guitar chord strummed over and over. ... Truly Brilliant
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by ashford

Advantages: Some fine tunes Great singing
Disadvantages: Not Many

Queen were one of the greatest bands of the last twenty or so years. Their Original Hits I was sensational and Original Hits II is equally superb. The CD contains some of the British band's greatest hits and you will come across the late Freddie Mercury in full swing and guitarit Brian May demonstrating his outstanding playing skills. On side I the following are the tracks " SIDE I A Kind of Magic Under Pressure Radio Ga Ga I want it All I ... Read review

Monarchs of the music world
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by piffles

Advantages: containing some of queens greatest tracks such as 'I want to Break Free'
Disadvantages: lacking some songs that would give the public all the Queen songs they want such as 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

...that owns only Queens first greatest hits album is likely to think that because that album is just so good there is no way that Queen would have enough hits to make another good greatest hits. But they would be wrong as this, and infact Queen 3, proves. Greatest hits two its full of some of Queens finest and most popular tracks. Although it may be lacking some of their most popular tunes such as 'We Are The Champions' and, of course, 'Bohemian Rhapsody'it ... Read review

Magic Indeed
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.2 - Queen by jintyjoonyjengajoe

Advantages: a selection of the best songs fromthe best Rock group ever
Disadvantages: Missing some of their great songs included on the first greatest hits

I truly believe that this album must be one of my all time favourites.....for example: if I could only take one CD to a deserted island, it would probably have to be this one. I've been a Queen fan since about the age of 14years, (and that was a VERY long time ago), and so have followed the band through their very impressive career and cleverly "changing with the times" music. The first time that I heard these tracks as a compilation was the day after ... Read review

Advantages: Great tracks
Disadvantages: Freddys dead

Greatest Hits II, Queen There can be no doubt that Queen are one of the biggest groups of all time, and the second edition of their greatest hits reflects this without doubt. It contains seventeen, yes seventeen, smashing songs. If you like rock or queen, then go and buy this as you will not be disappointed at all. All in all, a great album that will never go out of date. Track listing: A kind of magic, Under Pressure, Radio Ga Ga, I Want It all, ... Read review
