This is the first installment from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and to put it bluntly this album is brilliant. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes already had around 5 7" out but this is their first album. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes is a part time band which has members from many fine Punk bands such as NOFX, Lagwagon and many more. Advantages: Awesome Punk Covers
Disadvantages: Too short and not their best

...full length album and i have to say that they have done better, their most recent offering Take A Break being the best they have done. When you see the ratings for Originality and Lyrics i think you would be better off ignoring any low scores here as they are, after all, someone else's songs and someone else's lyrics. ... Advantages: Old songs punked up to date
Disadvantages: Less than 30 mins of music!

...fantastic. All of the songs have been 'punked' up, obviously the rhythm is the same as the original all be it a little faster, all the guitars and drumming is faultless. The vocals are occasionally a little rough and throaty sounding, but I don't think it comes across as a bad thing. In my opinion Seasons In The Sun is the highlight of the album & Mandy is the one I'd most likely skip. If you've heard any of the other CDs my Me 1st... then I think ... Read review
