Advantages: Beautiful, funky, invigorating

Advantages: The excellent live tracks
Disadvantages: Sound quality

In my opinion, Less than Jake must be the most patchy punk / ska band in the world. They do have some really amazing songs, but also a load of not so good ones too. This album (the only one I've ever seen belongs to me), is made up of songs which have been previously released on out of print and limited edition vinyls. OK. Back around '97, I had heard the singles Around The World and Da Funk, but I didn't really listen to either and didn't really take Daft Punk too seriously. I thought the videos were good, and that was about it. Until I heard homework. What they do is simple, but amazingly effective. Disadvantages: Takes a bit of getting used to.

The album home work from Daft Punk is...... lets face it.... a classic. This is a prime example of french house music. Now this genre isn't for everyone but if you can drag yourself away from the usual commercial rubish and give this album a chance you'll wonder why you ever put up with the commercial stuff in the first place. Disadvantages: couple of downers

Daft Punk are not, in my mind anyway, daft or punk! I have not sampled much of what they have done but its worth writing about what I have. Around the world, I can name about 6 other acts with the same song title, but this one stands out the most. It’s a weird synth made sound that you cannot place to anything, and you would not like the song till you heard the title. Advantages: grounbreaking album with some classic house beats
Disadvantages: maybee out-dated ???

Daft Punk's Homework is a brilliant album and at the time of its release it was one of a kind, the album has a massive 16 tracks with the majority of them being 5 minutes plus. The French duo Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem Christo exercise a great use of classic house beats throughout the album, and combined with the way in which some of the tracks are structured they almost tease the listener before reaching a fantastic climax giving you ... Advantages: Brilliant diversity, pioneering filtered French electronics
Disadvantages: NOTHING!

This is Daft Punk's first and by far the best album they have released to date. It is by the far the least commercial and most underground release as the newer releases like 'Discovery' tend to go a bit on the poppy side which is expected due to their success. If you like that filtered French house sound this album ticks all the boxes. As well as the distinct sound theres lots of variation with some of the tracks bordering on techno. Favourite ... Advantages: great funky house tune
Disadvantages: not for everyone

This is a very catchy track by French Funksters Daft Punk. It has there own funky style to it but has a very dancy side to it aswell. It has a funk style bassline, a hard hitting Kick drum and a wicked robotic vocal. Its quite hard to explain how great this track is and you really have to hear it to believe it! I dont really know that much about this group but i would just like to say that they are absolutely immense there song one more time is just such a smooth groover and around the world was ok too. I really love this group and i will buy there album when it comes out as one more time is such a great track and it played when my new year came in i was loving it!.
