I'm Not Dead [PA] - Pink

I'm not really one for buying albums but Pink's I'm not dead was one I'd had my eye (and ear!) on for a while. I've always found pink easy on the ear but her recent releases have all caught my attention but was worried that all the good stuff have been released and left junk to fill the album...not in this one! Every single song is original and the album contains a wide range of different types of music. Some of them are not like her usual style ...
...but will soon grow on you. The lyrics alone deserve a mention, amazing and unique and many have great little twists if you listen carefully. P!nk is back with some of her best music yet. This CD has a good mix of ballads and more upbeat tunes. 'Dear Mr President' is a strong song, portraying the difficulties and views on the USA. 'Who Knew' is a powerful and beautiful song, revolving some of P!nk's friends who died due to drug taking. 'I Got Money Now' is also a sentimental tune, showing that P!nk can pull off not only great pop songs, but some good ballads. Personal favourites are ...
...Hand' I also liked the somewhat provocative 'Fingers'. There is a good mix of music overall and the lyrics are generally strong, although be warned the language isn't always clean and neither are her views on things. Personally I think this is the best of Pink's albums to date. I've bought all of her previous and thought 'yeah, yeah, not bad' but this album is just highly above the rest, and by far the best album out at its time of release. She has chosen to include a number of fantastic songs, many which have been or are going to be released as singles. Unlike many albums where all the songs are samey I found that this album had a complementary mix of different ...
...Within these songs she addresses a number of current issues, for example speaking of the president which many artists would refuse to do. Pink does not lay off her thoughts, and says exactly what she wants with her lyrics and puts high levels of emotion into them. I am a huge Pink fan git the album and loved it from start to finish it was fantastic, i then saw her in concert and she was amazing this is well worth listening too. This has to be one of the few albums that has stayed in my cd player for over a year and whats even better is that i do not need to skip any of the tracks i love all of them. This is by far Pinks best album of her career. The songs are so diverse in styles, from smoochy, acoustic, political, 80's sytle to Rock. I enjoyed this album so much, I honestly though that no other album would take Misunderstood from my personal top spot, but I have to say that this album has done it. From the moment I bought this album it has not yet left my Cd player, I enjoy going for a drive and find any excuse to get in my car to listen ...

I would definitely recommend this cd to all, some of the songs take a while to get in to but once you have listened to them a few times you soon find yourself singing along. My favourite track has to be, track no.7 Cuz I can. However I like them all, but some took a few plays to get used to before I really enjoyed the full CD. This CD is one of my favourites, and I don't think it's been out of the CD player since I bought it! I first listened to this on a long journey, and it really helped to keep me awake. The bonus tracks are a nice addition, and Pink's duet with her father, I Have Seen The Rain, is a simply beautiful song. This album was fantastic! I have to admit that I only brought the CD in the first place because i had been given a pair of tickets for Pink's tour as an early birthday present. But as soon as i put the disk in the Cd player, i was hooked, it's never been out the cd player yet! This has got to be Pink's best album by far! I have of Pink's albums, and this is the one that has been played the most, I haven't taken it out of my cd player since it cames out in April.
