...and admired by many.
Innuendo was recorded when Freddie was at his weakest, however he was a strong willed person and would not let his fans down. Recorded during 1990 and released early 1991, the album was full of new material and was a story about the end.

... ...of those tracks that followed in the same sort of footsteps as Bohemian Rhapsody, a very long instrumental at the start of it before Freddie actually kicks in and starts to sing.
I'm Going Slightly Mad, I feel is portraying how Freddie was feeling at the later stages of his illness, being one biscuit short of a full pack and other various lines that make you think that he is losing the plot a little. With the lyrics "I'm Going Slightly Mad, It Finally ...

...months after it's release, but Innuendo was Queen's final album before Freddie Mercury's untimely death in November 1991. It's an album which is possibly the best work the band put together since 1984's The Works.
Innuendo the opening track gave the band their 2nd Number One single in the UK chart (following 1975's Bohemian Rhapsody) and is almost as masterly as Bo-Rhap. The song has a very flamenco feel to it in parts and is quite unique.

Headlong is just what Queen do best. Rock! It's unfortunate that this song could never been performed in a stadium, because it would have surely become a live classic in years to come.

Advantages: Great songs, diverse songs, good quality. Disadvantages: None
I first had Innuendo on cassette, it was from Woolworths and it wasn't a good copy. However, I did eventually purchase it on CD. It is an excellent album from beginning to end. Each song is magnificantly constructed with many different chords. "I Can't Live With You" and "Don't Try So Hard" I find euphoric. "Innuendo", "The Hitman", "Headlong" being the big tunes in my opinion.
It is true British musicians at their best. The album sleeve is attractive ... ...see him, but to listen to the music instead. Brian's guitar work is very impressive, John's bass exciting and the use of good drums. Freddie's vocals as always are top notch and quite similar to his style early in his musical career, which in my opinion is better.
Don't pay more than £6 online for brand new.
Genre is basically Rock/ Alternative.
