...third album nicely titled “The Invisible Band” but this album just cements what a lot of us knew already, that this band are tops and will be around for a long time! The previous albums “Good Feeling” and “The Man Who” which became one of the most popular indie records ever follow the same sort of indie type pattern as this album.

~ History ~
Travis released their first album in 1998 (this album was recorded in both 1997 and 1998) called Good Feeling that featured the singles of 'All I Do Is Rock' and 'Happy'. This album was described by Select Magazine as ''The most heartstoppingly-exciting album since 'Definitely Maybe'…''. ...

...joke at the title, ‘The Invisible Band’, just to save me having to explain it later. Anyway on with the feature presentation.
This album may not exactly be the latest release, but this is Travis’s latest album and the follow up to ‘The Man Who’, something I really enjoyed when that was first released. After hearing a few of the singles off it, I decided to go and get it, they sounded as good as ever and promised a ...

...harsh truth is that The Invisible Band have made a very transparent album.
‘The Invisible Band’ comes out next Monday, 11th June.
Finally, as promised, the lyrics to ‘Side’. Enjoy!
Oh I believe there's someone watching over you
They're watching every single thing you say
And when you die they'll sit you down and take you through
You'll realise one day how

...album was immense.
Thankfully 'The Invisible Band' more or less succeeds. There are no radical departures from 'The Man Who..'. The chorus' are immediate, the guitar riffs are amazingly tuneful and the potential haul of future singles is close to innumerable. Well worth shelling out for then, you might say. Well, em yes I guess so. 'The Invisible Band' is never less than a pleasant listen but sometimes too much sweetness can lead to a decaying ...

Advantages: Easy to listen to, excellent lyrics, good musical accompaniment, great album to work to Disadvantages: None really, apart from the fact that there were only 12 tracks
"The Invisible Band" never fails to impress me each time I put it in to play. With every listen, I discover something new about the amazingly deep lyrics of Travis, and I'm left in wonder at the abundantly vivid images portrayed. The music will leave you asking for more, but the 12 tracks present on this album sufficiently whet your appetite. Travis truly are in sparkling form with this release.
This is a very good album to just chill out to after ...

Advantages: Great lyrics Disadvantages: Can sound monotonous
Forgive me as I write this opinion as I’m listening, as I’m writing this op on a ‘first-listen’ basis, so the opinion may seem fragmented into ‘tracks’.
The album begins with ‘Sing’, which is inevitable considering it’s success in the charts. This, to say the least, is very uplifting to say the least, whilst, similar to Toploader, is great to relax to.
Track two, ‘Dear Diary’, ...

'The Invisible Band' is the third album offering from Travis following the debut album 'Good Feeling' and the top selling 'The Man Who'. The third release from the Glaswegian band offers no experimentation from the standard indie/pop that has served them so well in the past and to all intents and purposes continues in the same vein as 'The Man Who'.

...is perhaps in order. ‘The Invisible Band’ is Travis’ first album since the massive selling ‘The Man Who’, which transformed them from forgotten post Britpop darlings, who once attracted the praise of one Noel Gallagher to superstars in their own right. 1997s debut ‘Good Feeling’ captured a youthful band with a schizophrenic sound. One minute they were glam rockers thrashing out scuzzy pop such ‘U-16 ...

...band releasing their follow-up, “The Invisible Band”. So what were Travis going to treat us to this time? A rock opera like “Bohemian Rhapsody” or had they followed Radiohead’s adventurous side and come up with their own “Kid A”?
Well no unfortunately: as the saying goes “If it ain’t broke – don’t fix it” and the band seemed to have stuck with the same winning formula.
The first things I noticed when I got this album was that the cover and ...

...with their new album, The Invisible Band. It’s not a radical departure, of course, but it is an evolution that the fiercest and woolly-eared music critics have failed to spot. This will not be enough to put off the millions who bought The Man Who in 1999, but may slightly annoy the early fans who yearn for the band to plug their guitars back in.
You know how it begins, it’s the bastard child of Writing To Reach You and Turn, now christened ...

...their eagerly awaited new album Invisible Band, and what an excellent piece of work it is. If you have ever heard the previous albums, Good Feeling and The Man Who, you might not enjoy this album as much, the songs don't have a lot of individuality and there isn't much to tell it apart from anything else in the market of a similar genre. That said there are 3 songs that really do stick out on this album.

...can be said of 'The Invisible Band', but with greater conviction. When I first listened to this album, and bear in mind that I loved 'The Man Who', I thought it was poor. The songs seemed to merge into one dreary mess, and I was so disappointed. But, I cannot think of any album that has grown on me more, and so quickly too, than this has. I could see no potential singles on the album other than 'Sing', and thought that this would be to Travis what ...

With 12 tracks this album is sure to sell and become a world wide smash hit.
There are maybe 1 or 2 songs that aren't so good on the album. All 12 tracks are listed below.
1. Sing:
