A five star album. Definitely. "It's all about the stragglers" is a brilliant debut compilation album from Artful Dodger. What a great way to introduce amazing vocalists such as Robbie Craig, Michelle Escoffery and the man we ALL love, Mr Craig David. This album is pretty mellow stuff. Very 'garagey' in parts mixed with the essence of R&B. There are the tracks that are instantly recognisable (from the Charts) such as Re-Rewind (the only slightly irritating track on the album due to overkill by the radio stations!), Woman Trouble and Please Don't Turn Me On. I received 'its all about the stragglers, for Christmas last year, because I happened to like 'woman trouble' and 'movin too fast', and I have to say I am well impressed with the rest of the songs (by the way, if you have a cd rom there is a bonus track (woman trouble, original version), grrreeaat!) This album is fantastic. so far he has 5 UK selling records and they have all done very well, these being: Re-Wind, Please dont turn me on, Movin Too fast, R U Ready and Women Trouble. It is all like club tracks and all make you get up and dance, every track is outstanding. Artful Dodger is a band which makes the music and they then get vocalists to sing to them. If you take the time to read the thanks section inside, you will find that this album is dedicated "to the rare bread of people who are still present on the dancefloor when the house lights go up". I have liked a few songs from Artful Dodger like re-wind, movin too fast, woman trouble and please don’t turn me on and saw that they were all on the Artful Dodger album. With seeing this I brought it, however when I got it I was quite disappointed! ...in the charts,! The album it's All About The Stragglers contemporary garage music and I love garage and most of the good garage music has been done by the artful dodger. Rewind, woman trouble, moving too fast, please don’t turn me on and are you ready are just a few of the great songs that are on this album.
