Disadvantages: Songs can blend into each other, the dynamics of the production could be improved

I bought this album on the day of its release and couldn't wait to play it, unlike so many others I was not disappointed. I managed to get the bonus enhanced cd rom which includes several excellent features of acoustic versions of Lying in the sun and Step on my old size nines. I will be the first to admit that it is not as good as their last album, Performance and Cocktails, but could we really expect them to come up with yet another subliminal ... Read review

I love the stereophonics and I think "Just Enough Education To Perform" is thier best album by far. It has a good variety of songs including :; Mr Writer and Handbags and the Gladrags. Each of thier songs are unique and different from the last. They mix thier original sound with some cover versions of songs e.g. Rod Stewarts - Handbags and the Gladrags. Which I think is great because it was such a great song and they took it and made it so much ... Read review

...into these tracks, but it just doesn't catch. The lyrics are thought provoking though, and if it wasn't for what had gone before, I think a lot of the critics would be raving about this album! If you like the Stereophonics then it is probably worthwhile getting this album, if you are unsure, I reccommend you buy and earlier album to here this band at their best, and if you hate their previous stuff, then I'm afraid this is just more of the same! ... Disadvantages: Slower pace, less like previous albums

...are still on form, they're just getting older and need some slower music. The album has more of a bluesy feel withs ongs like rooftop, and a gospel influence on vegas two times. Have a nice day has to be one of the most different songs they have released as a single, but it is so catchy, you don't care if it isn't like the stereophonics of the past. It has songs that I've listened to when I got dumped, songs I've got ready for a party to, songs I've revised to and songs I've gone to sleep to. Just select a track according to your mood or just listen to the whole damn thing. Either way It is worth £12.99 of anyones money. Having started with performance and cocktails, I became an avid phonics fan. Kelly Jones has a wonderful voice and the riffs strike a chord. (bad pun!) With JEEP, i find a more mellow and melancholy sound that is perfect for chiling to. You can forget all the latest dance chill albums that seem to be swarming the market at the moment. Just enuff education to perform is a work of art. It is modern soul and stereophonics at their best. This really got me erm.....chillin. yeah well i liked it and im still listening to it right now. I think that if you liked stereophonics last album or the my vitriol album FINELINES then you should like this.
