Advantages: Different to last one Disadvantages: Different to last one
...In National Anthem theres a bit that sounds like an orchestra warming up!
Kid A and Everything In Its Right Place are my favourites, as they are very mellow yet still retain some power. It's a definite must for all Radiohead fans, and not at all a disappointment. ...

Advantages: A few years since release none as yet Disadvantages: Confusion and depression
...experimentation and heading straight into Kid A?
OK Computer was without doubt sensational. A REAL step forward from previous albums and into the big time, but Kid A relegates them back to a stage of wondering whether or not they will get it right. It seems that they have tried a little too hard to take a step forward. I'm not going to go through every song as not one is deserving of a thorough analysis. If you haven't heard the album yet and you ... ...have it, a track from Kid A. But maybe it's just me. Normally when a bands style differs from what you are used to hearing, it's over a course of two or three albums. But this is immediate and maybe it's my ignorance that says that that isn't normal. And maybe it's my ignorance that isnt allowing me to say that this is a great band. Muse have seemed to take off where most of us thought Radiohead were going to take off to and it shows through Kid ...

Advantages: The free Cd casing... Yeah Disadvantages: Everthing (and I was a Rhead fan)
What the hell happened to good old radiohead? Ok computer... yes what a great album... but this? I saw radiohead live at Warrigton and was amazed at the gig, But that was only because of the atmosphere and the old tracks which where played. Their latest effot left me shocked, forget Karma police forget The bends FORGET anything which was slighty rocking! Their new effort is shows an unsure band who to be quite honest if they didn't have the following ... ...had of making a new album. The album is more of a musical adventure, with many surprises... sadly none of them being any good. I loved the bends album and got use to Ok computer, this however is one for the bargin bins of new year. Basically you'll love it or hate it... I hate it. Please if you want a good radiohead album buy anything but this one. ...

Advantages: Radiohead get funky Disadvantages: Takes a couple of listens
...let that put you off.
Kid A is a natural progression from OK Computer. It takes a couple of listens but this could become the best thing they've ever done.
It is undoubtedly arty-farty but it also shows a band at the height of their powers, once again pushing the envelope of modern music.
And if anyone can find a better track this year than Optimistic, I'd like to hear about it.
I can even forgive them the pretty naff cover artwork and the lack ...

Advantages: Unusual Cover Disadvantages: Bad, Bad Music (if you can call it that)
What a disappointment - "OK Computer" is one of my favourite all time albums as is "The Bends". Rushed out and bought this today and was very disppointed to hear for the most part an unlistenable dirge of random bleeps & noises and desolate soundscapes - none of which remotely resemble anything near as beautiful as "Paranoid Android" or "No Surprises" and certainly nothing anywhere near the classic "The Bends".
Sounds a lot like a bunch of blokes ... ...VL tone (remember those) in a studio.
Was not expecting another "OK Computer" but just cannot describe how miserable this listening experience is.
Do not believe the Pretentious Music Journos who are going to like it whatever - Find a listening Post and check it out for yourself first.
DO NOT PART WITH THE CASH BEFORE LISTENING!!!!! I DID AND I REGRET IT - WILL NEVER LISTEN TO IT AGAIN! ...
