Advantages: As refreshing as the first album
Disadvantages: Unmemorable in comparison to "College Dropout"

This album "Late Registration" was released in 2005 by Kanye West. It features the singles Touch The Sky, Heard 'Em Say, Gold Digger & Diamonds From Sierra Leone. Kanye West's first album surpassed all expectations as the roc-a-fella artist had been passed up by so many other record labels but this album built on already the solid foundation that he had wit College Dropout. PARENTAL ADVISORY - Explicit Lyrics - Album £8.99 at HMV (In Sale), but usual price £12.99. Likely to purchase cheaper on-line at CDWOW or Amazon. I thought "College Dropout" was overrated and I think the same of this album. Kanye is a PRODUCER. It's what he's good at and what he should stick to in my opinion. I certainly have no complaints about the production on this album that for sure. I do have complaints about the rapping though. His flow is appalling and seems to be getting worse not better. ...The College Dropout, expectations for Late Registration were high. Kanye West did not fail to please. Late Registration shows more maturity than The College Dropout showing Mr West's evolution. Unlike many Hip-Hop albums, Late Registration does not focus on guns and hoes (a downside if this is what you were looking for), this marks a new breed of Hip-Hop. ...this brings the quality of Late Registration down. Kanye tries too hard to be intelligent, witty, political or profound and ,more often than not, falls flat. And with esteemed guests as Jay Z (though I don't like him, I admit his rhymes flow effortlessly), Common and Nas, West's poor lyrics show up more. Kanye west has some good flows, he is a really great rapper. Unlike other rappers when he rap he is saying something, he is making a point or speaking his mind. This album has 21 songs on it and they are all good song. You will play this album over and over again. Most people know his song featuring jamie foxx, called "Golddigger".
