African and other cultures have obviously influenced the album, most obvious with the vocalists hired for tracks. The tracks work and build up very well and are well structured, but admittedly less diverse than those found on Rhythm and Stealth. ...at all! When you put Leftism on your stereo you just lose control of yourself. The album also has its mellow moments such as 21st Century Poem and the completly fantastic Original which features the soul moving vocals of Toni Halliday. Release the Pressure opens what is an amazing album. It’s quiet build up is trademark Leftfield, who then launch into the body bouncing Afro-Left. Original (whose beginning was used on the TV hit Big Brother) is another one that will have your foot-stomping, as will the amazing Song of Life. What a cool album for Kickin back and chillin out too after a mad wekend out on the town, I bought this album after hearing it around a mate's hows after a three night bender. This of course is the excellent debut album from Leftfield which has almost passed into the very best classic album status! This is such a good album it is difficult to write enough words to say so.... The feel of the album and the tracks included are absolutely brilliant, with almost every track making you feel that they have acheived something new.
