Advantages I don't mind Grace Kelly
Disadvantages It's all so cheap! The vocals and 'personality' of the album are forced and fake

I have vague, fond memories of calling Mika ‘diseased’ the first time I wrote this review. I’ll refrain from doing that a second time, because personal attacks are never pleasant and I’d rather focus more on a balanced, reflective analysis of his music. Mika is a figure who annoys as many people as he thrills, because his singing voice is a completely laboured creation, forcibly high-pitched and squeal-y whenever he wants to hit a chorus, and low-pitched and ‘meaningful’ for the verses. Advantages Fun, Happy, Cheerful
Disadvantages a little childish

Like many people I got to hear of Mika on the radio from his first single….Grace Kelly a catchy song I'm sure you’ll agree which goes through you head forever!! Grace Kelly captured my imagination and made me buy his album Life In Cartoon Motion from Amazon (£8.98) It’s full of fun and happy songs which I just love everyday. Advantages A wider range of music - amazing!
Disadvantages May not appeal to all tastes. Fantastic tracks mean that other 'not-so-great' songs (not many) are unfairly compared.

Who is this guy? I have to say that I personally think he is absolutely brilliant and someone for us to focus on in 2007 - I really feel it is his year. I knew I had to have this album when I heard the musical genius masterpiece, that is his number one single Grace Kelly. This is just what I have been waiting for. His music mirrors aspects of Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Scissor Sisters; all of which I love already so he couldn't really go wrong with me. I can only describe Mika's style as 'sunshine' music. Advantages Catchy, upbeat and entertaining
Disadvantages Not quite the greatest album ever made, a little repetitive in some places

Rarely does an album catch my attention enough to make me write about it. The last one to inspire a review was Lily Allen’s “Alright Still”, with its evocative mix of styles and innovative lyrics and her beautiful, lilting voice. Mika’s “Life In Cartoon Motion” album, however, captured my imagination enough this morning to make me forget all about vacuuming the pub before opening and instead sat at the bar tapping my foot along to its upbeat, entertaining tracks. Advantages Great mix of musical styles

Mika burst into the charts earlier this year with the amazing track "Grace Kelly" his style seems unique yet as you listen to his album you can pick up influences of many different bands. When I first heard "Grace Kelly" I thought it was the band Orson, until I made a point of finding the single. Now, I'm a stay at home mum more used to knowing what the Tweenies are up to rather than the music charts so I'd never heard of Mika, but his fun filled music, and voice that at times only dogs can hear, captured my interest and I found myself listening out for his next release, I was even more ... more

Life in a Cartoon Motion ( Universal) This camp and sound alike Freddie mercury has exploded on to the music scene this year and has already shot to number one with single Grace Kelly, which catapulted him to number one and superstardom. He could be around for a long time to come Life in a Cartoon is Mika's (pronounced Meeka) is his debut album. The 23 year old born in Lebanon could go along way. Some might say the further the better but if you like Freddy Mercury and the Scissor Sisters you should like Mika. Advantages Good fun
Disadvantages Few weak tracks

Mika must be one of the most unqiue talents to explode onto the music scene in recent times. Sounding almost like a young Freddie Mercury, crossed with Robbie Williams his debut album, hot on the heels of the single Grace Kelly, would be interesting. Mika is a Lebanese born, London based singer, with a huge vocal range, displayed in the first track of this album, Grace Kelly, with a poppy Darkness style sound. Advantages originality, all rounder!
Disadvantages he hasnt got another album :(

i love this album and i think he is such an original artist. I havent quite heard music like this in a very long time. It is for all age groups and is highly recommended from me! The songs on the album consitst of: Grace Kelly This one the first song that made mika so big in the uk. It was completely original and his video made everyone want to hear it over and over again. This song relates to the scissor sisters songs alot, and it contains alot of though and intelligance to make a single as good as this!
