The greatest live album ever!
Review of Live At Wembley 1986 - Queen by
hooves
Advantages: Upliftiing double cd full of hits
Disadvantages: None whatsoever
...could have been to any live performance by any band ever, it would have to be this, the 1986 performance by Queen at Wembley Stadium. It attracted 150,000 people over two nights which, altough overshadowed by their Knebworth Park gig where they played to about 180,000 people in one night, was probably their greatest ever live show. Sure Knebworth had more people, but to play at Wembley must have created an atmosphere never seen at any gig before or ...

A well polishged album by a great live band
Review of Live At Wembley 1986 - Queen by
johnnapig
Advantages: All the hits in one nice live package
Disadvantages: but perhaps a little too well polished!
If Queen were the ultimate live band then this album must be the ultimate live album. It’s fantastic and, although it claims to be a whole concert, it does have some bits edited. Basically, it all the songs you know, some of the better ones from the albums (‘Lap Of The Gods...Revisited’, ‘Teare It Up’) and a brilliant acoustic set of some rock and roll classics, just like in the old days. The middle bit of Bohemian Rhapsody is left in ...

Review Of Live At Wembley By Queen
Review of Live At Wembley 1986 - Queen by
rocking
Advantages: Shows Queen In Their Prime
Disadvantages: Contains A Swear Word From Freddy
...after topping the bill at Live Aid Queen managed to do it again in front of 100,000 people. This is one of their best performances and this CD and the Live At Wembley video are two must have Queen items.
This is an interesting album from a historical point of view because it is the last time that Queen ever performed live at a concert. Hear the splendour of Freddies Voice and feel the power of the performance from Brian Roger and John. Queen put ...

Spirit lives on
Review of Live At Wembley 1986 - Queen by
cobbler
Advantages: Freddie at his best, it's a double CD so great value
Disadvantages: there aren't any!
...spirit lives on in this live recording from Queen's gig at Wembley Stadium.
Freedie was without doubt, "the" entertainer, and his performances live (so I'm told) were simply breathtaking. He was born to entertain, and somehow this fact comes across on this double CD.
The feeling behind his voice is clear as he belts out Queen favourites such as "We Are The Champions", "We Will Rock You", "I Want to Break Free", the list is almost endless. ...

Well worth it
Review of Live At Wembley 1986 - Queen by
robjlawler
Advantages: i got it cheap and its good
Disadvantages: none
Although being a late starter as a queen fan, this is shown by the fact that i was only one when this concert actually took place, i have grown up to learn and love queen. They have brilliant music and it is original too, most of it if not all of it was written by them and they dont just cover other bands, they play their own instruments too! I managed to get hold of this cd in a sale a year or two back for about six pound and think it was well worth ...
