Advantages: Lyrically interesting, musically perfect, semi-conceptual Disadvantages: Several Weaker tracks
This album is actually a combination of Atmosphere's previous releases (Ford 1 and Ford 2) into a single L.P. Once again DJ Ant's beats provide the perfect backdrop for the genius lyrical stylings of Slug (a.k.a. Sean Daley).
Far from being a typical "money, bitches and bling" affair, Atmosphere once again pioneer the high-brow, intelligent hip-hop they, and other members of the Anticon collective of which they are a part, have pursued. The only ... ...Cigarettes", seems a decidedly tongue in cheek affair, Slug proclaiming his desire to be "I wanna bigger than Jesus and bigger than wrestling
Bigger than the Beatles and bigger than breast implants", jibing at the orthodox aspirations of others.
The lyrical fare is varied, but marked by an over arching sense of introversion and introspection (highlighted by the track "Aspiring sociopath"). Slug seems to set himself aside from society, which at ...
