I purchased the very contaversial album, released by Eminem, aka. Slim Shady, in The U.S.A. earlier this year before it was released in the U.K. The album despite its many bad critics, absolutly kicks!! It is one of the best albums I have ever bought! Advantages: the lyrics have meaning
Disadvantages: very much the same as other rap music

This i a genuinely good album but Rap music is very difficult to vary, however Emimem has a new line of chorus that make the songs easy to listen to. Not meaning to sound Cliche but he tells the story without been forced to sugar coat it at all. The lyrics are from the heart and genuine and the entire album is much more serious than the last one. ...look to this guys album, Marshall Mathers lp, and you can see exactly why. He has produced his second album of 14 tracks, well, including the couple of humorous skits in between songs. He took rapping to a new level with Stan, and showed to me for one, that in songs such as The Way I Am and Amnityville, that he can perform to a serious level. Without doubt the one of the best rap albums I have ever heard (Slim Shady LP is marginally better). This man has a talent that sets him apart from the rest. His lyrics are clever, humerous (& include a lot of bad language!!) and he doesn't take himself too seriously. The mix of different types of rap are spot on. This is an excelent album for any one who loves rapping but the not so good thing is the bad language this is DEFINATLY not an album for children. Some of the songs are very good and some are not so good. In my opinion this is a very good album but it could do with a bit of work on some of the lyrics and some of the backing music isnt to good either. This album is great for all the lovers of rappers but to tell you the truth it has REAL bad language and is defiantly NOT for kids. Eminem speaks for the nation. The nation of teenagers, that is. Let's face it, less and less teenagers are giving a .... these days, and the same can be said for Slim Shady. For once we can put on an album and listen to exactly what we want to hear, as opposed to turning the radio on and hearing Th...Wri...Ye...Po... from the censoring of radio.
