Why does it seem like 99% of all rap songs contain swearing. Eminem may have had a disturbed childhood but he doesn't have to swear to describe just how bad it was. Apart from the swearing this album is still pretty bad, while the lyrics are in places good the actual music leaves a lot to be desired. Lets face it rappers don't actually have any talent. Eminem is clearly a man who has serious 'issues'...or is it all just an act? He seems to be high on his own sense of anarchy, and treats all subjects - rape, murder, sodomy, homosexuality with the same vitriolic disrespect. ...tracks like Kill You and Marshall Mathers will provide further entertainment when you buy the album. Also clever little interludes called Steve Berman and Ken Kaniff are hilarious with the clever little commentary. To all the sceptics out there, if you come with an open mind and don't believe in some of the crap that has been written about probably the best rapper of the present, then you may just be surprised in what you here. ... Eminem, a crazy rapper who named himself after a little chocolate sweet, and who like to swear a lot, and produce skit on his albums which is why his albums are (18). Well the Marshall Mathers LP is probably not to everyones taste. The songs are great but the constant swearing means this album houldn't be listened to by children. Personally i preffered the first album The Slim Shady LP just because i prefered the songs. Unfortunately i had already cought the UK version before the track The Kids was added. Disadvantages: Can be very offensive of taken the wrong way. Can be very offensive if taken in the right way as well.

If you read my much earlier opinion on Eminem, you would know that I was undecided about what I thought of him. Now I know what I think. That he is not at all what everyone thinks. He does NOT to believe the things he says despite what people things. He says it purely to be contraversial, and to sell his records. Advantages: It's a rap album with a difference, it hads attitude, and style
Disadvantages: the lyrics have some strong language so it is not suitable for all ages

This album is bad mouthed and has totaly wakky lyrics, it's not like any other ablbum coz it has attitude. But it's not the sorta thing your nanny and grandad would aprove of! This album has got a lot of stick because it has a lot of swearing on it. Many people have said it makes people think violence and swearing are acceptable. True it does go a bit over the top on the language but my opinion is that if you don’t want to listen to it you don’t have to.
