Advantages: great atmospherical music Disadvantages: not sutable for children
This album represents the pinnacle of Metallica's musical creativity. Forget their recent 'commercialised' watered down version of metal. This album has so many fresh ideas from the excellent title track to the awesome instrumental.
Lyrically it is fairly standard heavy metal with a few thought provoking tracks, but it's the music that makes you want to listen more.
there are many great songs I've heard on this album, in fact by this band. there ...

...playing accompanied by james' roar.
2. Master Of Puppets - Mega fast all the way through fantastic dislpay of unique guitar playing and a near impossible solo. perhaps the best ever metallica song. the lyrics go really deep, they are about addictions.
3. Thing That Should Not Be - Slower song but extremely heavy, doesnt stand out too much from the other songs but is worth listening too. one of the heaviest songs u'll hear from metallica.

Advantages: Great Album Disadvantages: Cliff Burtons last
What to expect
As all early Metallica, the songs combine the adrenaline-rush of speed metal, hard hitting guitars, and great lyrics. The difference with "MOP" is seen in the band's progression lyrically and structurally. James began layering more guitars, to create a darker, moodier feel. Some of Kirk's solos have multiple guitar parts. The songs have longer instrumental or ambient intros. In all "MOP" represented the maturing of Metallica, which ...

Advantages: Amazing Thrash Metal Album, Well Produced For The Era Disadvantages: May Not Apeal To Fans Of Metallica's Later Releases, i.e Load, Re-Load, St. Anger
This album is definatley one of my all time favourites. The album kicks off with the acoustic guitar intro in 'Battery' that soon changes when the Mesa Amplifiers blast and change the track into pure energy. The next track on the album is 'Master Of Puppets', This has the distinctive intro that you instantly know, again another very energetic song, however it has a very nice melodic breakdown with guitar harmonies int he middle of the track. 'The ...

Advantages: Metal Legends best album ever Disadvantages: Overplayed throughout the metal community
...we get the title track Master of Puppets. I've heard a few different meanings for the lyrics of this one, yet the most obvious is it's link to drugs. Heroin most likely. It describes the effects of being totally controlled by the addiction. Hmm should i really be promoting this album... ?? most definately as it rocks harder than.. er.. um.. a rock?
Probably the other ultimate track on this album would be Orion. An instrumental like none other. ...

Advantages: Welcome Home. Hardcore in its heyday. Disadvantages: Unlike the more recent Metallica stuff. Metallica vs Napster.
...Rocks!” as their summary of Master of Puppets.
In this case and I imagine that this is a rare instance, it is rather difficult to add any worthwhile extra comments.
Master of Puppets falls firmly between Metallica’s hardcore roots and this more recent phase of turning out more melodious and MTV friendly tunes. As a result of this, on the album you will find tracks that start off as the mean to go on – with violent thumping of the guitar. You ...

Advantages: Full in your face metal extravaganza Disadvantages: Only eight tracks
Master of puppets is definately the best thing that Metallica has ever done. Unfortunately this was the last album that Cliff Burton played bass on before his tragic death. The album has but eight tracks but stil manages to push your stereos speakers for over an hour. All the tracks are consistantly amazingly high quality metal and there is not one flaw to the album whatsoever. The album is definately a must have for any fans of classic metal music. ...

I am the Master Review ofMaster Of Puppets - Metallicaby
Kirk
Advantages: Master of Puppets Disadvantages: costs alot
Metallica’s third album follows Ride the Lightening rather more than Kill ‘em All, fortunately for Metallica.
The album opens with the gentle opening of the heavy song, Battery. This shows flashbacks of the former, thrash metal, Metallica. The bass of Cliff Burton is fantastic throughout the album, a fitting tribute, just before his death. The song of quite thrashy, not the best, but a great opener.
This is followed by the title ...
