Advantages: Variety of tunes within each song Disadvantages: Can get bored of the album easily and they don't tour very often in the U.K
Meteora is a very strange name for an album and i do wonder why they called it that!
I first came across meteora when one of my friends was listening to it on her portable CD-Player of which she let me listen to the album and wondered whether it was them or not and it was. I had heard of linkin park from a few previous songs on their last album but wasn't that keen to learn of them until i heard their second album.
After a year of their second ...

Advantages: Fantastice music for everyone Disadvantages: Come back to me on that one
Hearing me arguing with my mate, Nika, the other day, about whether we find out in chapter 5 or 6 of R Kelly's Trapped in the Closet, that his wife's been cheating with the police man that pulled him over (I swear it's chapter 5, in 6 Rufus has to decide between Chuck and Cathy!), noone would ever guess that I have a secret passion for a group who don't appear on universalurban.com! But it's true, and though I would never announce it to my media class, ...

Advantages: More hits than you know what to do with Disadvantages: Too samey for many people
Linkin Park are a group which always get a reaction from people, and that is that they either love them or hate them, there is rarely a middle ground. They have been slated by a lot of the media, and the most laughable criticism is that they are a manufactured boy band!!!! This is their second album, and it has been eagerly awaited, as their debut album 'Hybrid Theory' took the music world by storm, selling nearly 8 million copies, and they rode their ...

...amount of original material. However Meteora follows up superbly with 13 rip-roaring metal tracks that will bring legions of metal fans to their knees to praise the vocal and lyrical talent of Chester Bennington.
Now, in plain non-groupie English, I will explain just why this album is so damn good!
The lyrics are all very original and sang/shouted with a great amount of feeling by Mr. Bennington (lead singer). Linkin Park spent well over a ...

...not spend it!!!). But when Meteora was released, I really wanted to buy it, because I loved the first song to be released from it, "Somewhere I Belong", and I had a feeling it would be even better than their debut album. So I eventually got it for Christmas last year and settled down for a nice relaxing (ha!) listen . . .
The songs tend to follow a certain formula. They start off slowly and almost peacefully for the first few bars and then grow ...

Advantages: A new album after a long wait, good strong tracks Disadvantages: a couple of weaker tracks but thats all
METEORA is the follow up album from the hugely successful Hybird Theory. A bands second album after the first being such a huge success always has a lot to live up to.
Linkin Park themselves are a band which you will either like or hate. They are described as a NU Metal band. They have a rocky, hip hop kind of feel to them. I was certainly looking forward to their follow up album and was not to be disappointed.

Linkin Park are a group of 6 guys from southern california, aged between 24 and 27. The band formed in 1998 when co-vocalist Mike (Shinoda, 26) and Brad (Delson, 25) met at high school. Soon after Mike met the bands DJ, Joe (Hahn, 26) in Art College, Joe then introduced them to Pheonix (real name: Dave Farell, 26) the bands Bassist at the time their main vocalist was a local guy called Mark, after years and years of getting no-where Mark quit the ...

Advantages: Some really great tracks Disadvantages: A bit short
Linkin Park burst onto the scene a couple of years ago with the gazillion-selling Hybrid theory and after 18 months of waiting for some new stuff, (sorry I don't include re-mix albums, they are nearly always rubbish as was the case with LP's) here it is.
I bought this album the day it was released, dearly hoping it wouldn't turn out to be rubbish, and it hasn't.
This is the dreaded second album for a band with a huge debut, and I do believe ...

A New Spin Review ofMeteora [ECD] - Linkin Parkby

Advantages: Solid album, with some really good tracks. Disadvantages: Very different from earlier albums.
...also made it hard for Meteora to get the front row seat. Fans were so in love with the Hybrid Theory songs by this time, that new tracks seemed alien.
With the new album Meteora, a definite shift in band politics was taking place. Quite simply- more Chester, less Mike. This album is very much a rock album, albeit one with strange effects and some rapping.
So it starts- with Forword, a 13-second track of steadily increasing blunt beating noises. ...

Advantages: Great album Disadvantages: Not as good as Hybrid Theory
Linkin Park is a Californian nu-metal band mixing harmonic and scream vocals with emcee rapping. Their first album, 'Hybrid Theory', is critically and commercially acclaimed, and is full of raw talent and passionate music. They have since developed their style, with each element improving with experience. As a band, they have sold more than 50 million albums.
'Meteora' is the band's third album second album, released in 2003. It contains the smash ...

Second installment from Linkin Park, Meteora squares up very respectably to the MONSTER album Hybrid Theory.
As with their first album, this one is full of top quality tracks, the only one I skip forward past is track 11 - 'Nobody's listening'.
The combination of lead vocalist Chester Bennington (with his varying tones) and Mike Shinoda's rap style contributions makes these guys unique, and more importantly SUPREME!
Stand out tracks are (in my ...
