Although I quite enjoyed Joss Stone's debut album "The Soul Sessions", it didn't really live up to the hype. It proved that Stone can sing, but so what? Lots of people can sing. Hear'Say could sing, but that didn't really help them much in the long run, as you need to be able to back up a decent singing performance with a decent song. This is evident in the lyrics of the first song 'Right to be wrong' where she sings "I've got a right to be wrong, my mistakes will make me strong", and goes on to change that second line in one verse with "Gotta sing my own song". This album has a feel good, strong attitude to it, a real treat to listen to. I believe that there are three elements to this album and the first is her voice. I think that her voice has maintained that same soulful style from her first album. This album shows that the artist has true talent. It's a very easy listening and chilled out cd, nice to relax to with a glass of wine,when you have had a stressful day at work. This is definetly a womens cd. It shows the talent that the younger generation has with her being at such a young age when she created this album. Overall i would class this one of the best cd's that i own. One of my favourite tracks is number 3 called "you had me" its shows a strong women and i think you would agree that most women would be able to relate to it. Mind, body and soul is what this album definetly takes over when you listen to it. That is why i think that this album deserves a 5 star rating. I can confidently say that this album doesn't contain any disadvantages! ...

I'm sorry but sceptical as this sounds, I fail to see how anyone could call her irritating voice that can only be described in that manner as 'fresh'!
