Advantages: Brilliant album - cutting edge of pop music

Don't get me wrong. I'm a HUGE fan of Madonna's. She was all I listened to as a child. I bought, listened to and loved every other album she made and I though this would be no exception. Boy was I wrong... It starts off great with the fantastic 'Music'. Fantastic song. After that it goes downhill so fast that I wasn't sure if it would ever stop. Here it is, Madonna's latest album since Ray Of Light was released in 1998. This time William Orbit's dance edge is joined by French producer/musician/remixer Mirwais Ahmadzai. Generally an upbeat dancey album which finds Madonna still ahead of the game sixteen years into her career. ...changed over the years, her music has also changed, but it still brings us all together, this stunning CD is no different there is something on this for everyone, even old JPII at the Vatican. Advantages: Great variation between tracks, suitable for all, works on so many levels

...don't get bored of the music and the style, but there is guaranteed to be at least one track that appeals to everyone (usually Don't Tell Me - track 7). The music is produced mainly by herself and William Orbit - a very successful DJ and dance mixer which keeps the album sounding modern but also accoustic and non-forced. ...Light, released in March 1998, Music is another very upbeat Dance album, with catchy tunes and the usual profound Madonna lyrics. Produced in cooperation with several producers, this follows on well from RoL, although the final track, her rerendering in association with William Orbit of the Don McLean classic American Pie, is a debatable inclusion. ...a whole new genre of music and from the sounds of it has prooven to be VERY succesful! This song got to number one on the Pepsi chart by air play alone! But isn't officialy number one! ...Altogether it becomes background music to the highest degree, shopping music, until you really don't care anymore. Its very disappointing. There are other worthwhile songs on the album, certainly, and its probably true to say that if you were to take each album track as an individual, you would be thoroughly impressed. ...point I've grown up, this music is almost like the progression of the 'Earth Mother' kinda feel (frozen) back to the Disco Diva Queen of last century and this century as well!
