Like a lot of people of my generation this album changed my life - the most commercial Nirvana release it definitely got them noticed and brought them to the forefront of the grunge scene of the early-mid 90's. Nevermind is Nirvana's second studio album, Released on September 24th 1991. For me this is the most influential and inspiring album of the nineties, full of "Teen Spirit" that really delivers. This is probably my 2nd favourite album of all time. It has everything, great guitar solos, moving songs, lyrics with a meaning and in my opinion the best drummer of the 90's. The best song is probably "Come as you are" but "Lithium" gives it a run for the money. Kurt Cobain wrote great songs, and if you are looking to buy a Nirvana album buy this as it contains 75% of Nirvanas best songs that aren't on their greatest hits album. It has only two ...

One of the main reasons why i bought this album was because all my mates had it and they said that it was out of this world, and they weren't joking! I thought all of the songs featured on the album were original and the lyrics for each song were deep and had meaning. If someone asked me to elect a record to represent the 1990s, I wouldn't hesitate to point this one out. I bought Nevermind pretty much on impulse, after being exposed to the infectious riffing of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. For the sum of 11.99 from Northampton's Virgin Megastore I moshed happily away in my bedroom to the powerchords of Kurt Cobain and the drums of Dave Grohl (you couldn't really hear Novoselic's bass!). Yet I didn't persue an interest in Nirvana for several reasons. Firstly, they were monotonous. I'd heard stuff from the other albums ...
