Nevermind is a great album with stunning intros outros and solos by kurt cobain and even dave grohl on the drums. The songs have great lyrics and great sounds from the whole band to back them up. The best song on the album i feel is Breed or drain you but thats my opinion. With the voice of kurt and the drumming of dave the whole album brings together to make 1 of their best albums. Grunge is Nirvana. Nirvana is Grunge. The type of music that Nirvana play is called grunge, and it is like a cross between metal and punk, with some ska-punk* in there too. This album is easily the best album that Nirvana ever did, mainly because it has the likes of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Breed" on. My favourite tracks are "Breed" and "Terriatorial Pissings" and they are definitely classics in their own right. However, the album isn't just ...
...12 (I've forgotten the name of it now) which is very mellow and sad and slow. They are good to listen to loud though, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is definitely a good one to have on at a party. Having said these great things, the album doesn't really have much variety on and it does get a little bit boring. The Nevermind album was deservedly voted the best album of the 1990s by the Times Newspaper. Also a guitar magazine voted this album as the best of the millenium. This album brought Nirvana to fame but ironically sowed the seeds of its own decline. The band was pissed of with so called "fans" who were everything Kurt Cobain hated. This view is put across in "In Bloom". This album isn't as pessimistic as In Utero, there are no signs of suicidal lyrics ...
...album is Teen Spirit although Come as you are and Territorial pissings are also some of my favourate Nirvana songs. This album is availiable for £12.99 if you look around and is worth buying at this price. Include a bonus track which is really cool (around 12 minutes into the last track) ...

this album is Nirvana's greatest. All the tracks here is very very good that almost all of the songs went into the top charts. The recording is perfect, it really emphasized all the band members potentials. Dave Grohl's drumming was best heard in the song of Smells like teen Spirit and also Kurt Cobain's voice especially during the last part of the song while he was shouting "A denial". This album is not as fantastic as everyone is saying. Whilst it had one or two songs that were very good the rest never seemed to make themselfs heard. None of the songs had any moving lirics and they weren't easy listing either i found them to be load and not cleaver. This album has probably been listend to everyone! But its a timeless album in my oppinion and I love it so much I could talk about it, well Nirvana in general really, for a VERY long time! lol I think this album is like a window to Nirvana and you really get a feel of who they are and what their about, not just the mental turmoil of Cobain himself but the funloving band as a whole. Nirvana truly have delivered one of the album of not just the nineties but of all time.
