I know this was a bit risky because I didn't wait for any other of her songs to come out, but i have to say, i got lucky. There are 12 different songs on the album, with a further 2 versions of 'i turn to you' and 'never be the same again' remixed at the end. For me the album shows a range of different types of music. Go And then there are the two best songs on the album. Firstly comes 'Never be the same again'. This song has it all, and proved it when it topped the charts. What an excellent album Northern Star is! Mel C has proven she has what it takes to be a star in her own right. This album has fantastic lyrics, great music and caters for most tastes. Mel has a fabulously strong voice and certainly knows how to use it to her best advantage. Well who would have thought that the ugly one of the spice girls would do solo work. Okay so she ims the one who can sing, but she does have an irriatating voice. The best thing Mel C ever did was to go solo, I always thought that it was Mel B who was the strong one with the Spice Girls but looking at the way their solo hits are going Mel C is runnig away and well and truly leaving the others behind. "Goin' Down" what a great gutsy song. Based on this track you'd imagine that the rest of the CD would be a controversial rock album. Well, that's it I'm afraid.
