...to the review. The Number Of The Beast was the album that shot these Londoners into the world stage and it did so with a hell of a bang. It reached number 1 in the British album chart, and lets not forget how hard it was to get to the top of the album charts them days. Opening with the immortal line from Revelations, it kicks in to a riff crackling with adrenaline. ...have that great song The Number of the Beast, whose existence caused many to believe the Maiden where all devil worshippers (especially religious freaks). What other classics do we have, well we have the wonderful Prisoner, based on the TV programme and Children of the Damned, too, along with my favourite track Hallowed be they Name. Number of the Beast is perhaps the best Iron Maiden Studio album ever produced. It captures the heart and soul of what Iron maiden are about from the opening chord on invaders to the last drum beat at the end of hallowed be thy name. This album is simply a masterpiece. ...20 faves ever, including my number one choice Hallowed Be Thy Name, the two others being 22 Acacia Avenue and Children of the Damned. But this isn't to belittle the blistering, frenetic power of the title track or the Prisoner. Run to the Hills is one of the most famous rock tracks ever (with a hilarious video that went with it). ...riffs superbly. Bruce Dickinson's voice is at its best and Clive Burr deserves a medal for his work on 22 Acacia Avenue. And don't forget the artwork. Many album covers have tried to emulate Derek Riggs' style but nobody has done better than this surreal pic. If you're a heavy metal fan, you've probably already got this and if not, why not. If you're not into metal, give NOTB a try anyway. You might just find this musical style has more to offer ...

I've heard some people say that Children Of The Damned is a fabulous song but i dont quite get it to be honest its not as hard as i like my metal, still listenable though.
