Advantages: Possibly their finest moment to date

...dated quicker than an Citroen, OK Computer still stands the test of time. Why? Advantages: Something totally unique, a fine collection of music

...time and couldn't believe that OK Computer was in the top 5 - up there with the likes of Revolver and Dark Side of The Moon - so having already heard the fabulous Paranoid Android single taken from it, I was sold and went to my favourite Sundown Records and bought it the very next day. Advantages: genuinely timeless album, depth and emotional involvement in abundance
Disadvantages: none that come to mind

Radiohead are a band often billed by the pop media as 'depressing', and on the surface you might be hard-pushed to disagree. The tracks bandied about before 'OK Computer' was released, namely 'electioneering' and an early version of 'Airbag' provided little insight into the direction the band were heading after 'The Bends'. OK Computer is Radiohead's third album. First came Pablo Honey which is apparently bad. It contained the second single Creep. This song although entering the charts at around number seventy, lauched the bands career. At this time it broke the charts in Israel as here was the only country where it received radio play. Once every few years a special album is released.An album so good it is universally praised and set as the benchmark for others to reach.Ok Computer is such an album. OK Computer is, in my view, the greatest album of all time. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions with its haunting melodies, Thom Yorkes unique voice and Radiohead’s up most originality. Radiohead must be, apart from the all mighty Pink Floyd, the only band to do experimental albums well. Disadvantages: It takes a good few listens to enjoy.

...way (Kid A), and OK Computer is a very different album, but it is of equal worth. It isn't nearly as instant as its predecessor, because at least to me, The Bends was instant love. OK Computer needs to be nurtured. Take for example 'Fitter Happier'. My first thoughts were "what the fudge is this?!?!" but I was taking it the wrong way. OK Computer, the third offering from Radiohead, is perhaps the zenith of their career so far. This album is truly a work of art and is a landmark in rock history. ...it in a nutshell really. Ok Computer does take a few listens to see the true genius but perseverance is paid off handsomely. How they manage to come up with this sort of stuff is their genius. Advantages: Gloriously depressive lyrics, with irrationally happy music.
Disadvantages: Swings violently from happy to desperately sad.

...so many ways to take OK Computer, so many ways to interpret the lyrics and melodies, that I couldn't possibly hope to produce anything here that will cover the way you, yourself, will feel about this album. Everyone I know who has listened to the album in any depth has had a unique and different interpretation of it to my own. All I can do is offer my opinion. For me, the real beauty of Radiohead does in fact lie in this myriad of possible meanings ... Read review

Disadvantages: Sometimes overly weird, hard to derive meaning from the lyrics.

...pessimism, and weirdness. Yeah right. OK Computer is the one album in my 40 CD collection that I can honestly just sit and listen to. Every song in this album is different but yet brilliant. Thom Yorke covers so many emotions in only 12 songs its amazing. Airbag - 'In an interstellar burst I'm back to save the universe!' A good, solid opener.
