OK Computer is now often used as a comparison for other bands' best albums and rightly so. The album brought Radiohead to the mainstream as it was poppy enough to be accessible, yet still musically brilliant enough to keep their original fans and earn themselves some new ones. I'm not sure exactly why ANYONE can listen to this record without wanting to slash their wrists with a razor blade. Each song is bleaker than the no climpse of any positive message what so ever. Although the first single Paranoid Android does rock a littel, many of the othet tunes are just too down beat to listen to. 'No Surprises' offers just that - the song never changes, no build up, no real endingt the same monotonous tone the whole way through ...

It starts with the buzzing brilliance of "airbag" and never lets down in emotion or lyrical content. ...a strange narration track called Fitter Happier, read by a Stephen Hawking-sounding computer voice. My favourite track is probably the softest on the album, Exit Music (For A Film). It finishes with the sinister line "We hope that you choke" giving the song a rather disturbed edge.
