I first heard this album when travelling down to the Bristol Thekla for a gig with my own band. Please take my word for it when I say that for the four of us in the band to all unanimously agree on something, (not just musically) is a rare thing. This is by no means necessarily a bad thing by the way. But which way did we sway? I am dissapointed to say that we all thought this album was class. ...the ones to unite us in opinion. A lot of K.O.L. connoisseurs have criticised the very obvious shift in the bands tone. The unruly and raucous pace and voice of Aha Shake Heartbreak has been replaced by a much more considered and musical peice of work. I for one welcome this dynamism and soulful approach, as it has imparted a warmth that makes this album all the more listenable than it's predecessors. This new album from rock legends Kings of Leon is in my opinion there best yet. It features scuh singles as the amazing sex on fire, the classy closer and the quite brilliant cold desert. Kings of leon have matured with there 4ht single and now producing the best music they ever had. If you are into older bands such as REM or The Stone Roses i would highly recomend this new kings of leon album as it is simulae in many ways. Although if you are expecting the rocky hard hitting beats of the earlier kings of leon the you might be in for a shock. Bot all in all this is a incredible album that deserves to be a apreciated SO GET OUT THERE AND BUY IT ...

This album is soooo good! Check it out, just by listening to some clips you can get a feel for the rock that is ingrained in every song. These guys are really coming into their own. A crowd-pleasing rock and roll album that will have you tapping your feet like crazy. Well, what can I say. I am now a converted Kings of Leon fan. I have many friends who have being massive fans of this band for years, but have never been "roped in" until now. After seeing KOL live at V Festiva this year, i have been wanting this album for ages. Luckily i have got my hands on it and honestly i am a little dissapointed. Although the numerous claims this albums going to be alot harder, following the road of the single 'Charmer' i disagree.
