When I was asked if I wanted to go in to see Over Her Dead Body with my two friends, I was slightly hesitant at first; did this seem like a film for me? I wasn't really too sure what it was about, but decided to go for it anyway! Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) is killed by an ice sculpture on the day of her wedding to Henry (played by Paul Rudd). A year on, Henry is still trying desperately to get over the loss of his fiancé so his sister takes him to see psychic Ashley (played by Lake Bell). ***Film Only Review*** Over her dead body is another romantic comedy that doesn't quite deliver I'm afraid. Its a simple story where in Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) is accidentally killed on her wedding day and thinks she is still around to save her fiance; Henry (Paul Judd) from getting involved with Ashley (Lake Bell) when really she is just stopping him moving on and being happy. Over Her Dead Body is a comedy film starring Eva Longoria Parker (from Desperate Housewives) as Kate and Paul Rudd (Phoebe's husband from Friends) as Henry her fiancé. The film starts on the day of Kate and Henrys wedding and Kate is fussing over the preparations, not happy with anything and becomes really annoyed because the giant ice sculpture of an angel she has commissioned has no wings. I have seen a lot of films out that I want to see, some with good reviews and some with bad reviews. One of the films I had heard about was the film 'Over Her Dead Body' with Eva Longoria in it. They mentioned her name to sell the film but she isn't really that big a part in the film but I suppose one of the bigger names. I wasn't too sure about seeing this film as it did look a bit stupid and I don't think much of Eva Longoria as an actress but then I thought it might be funny as it did get quite mixed reviews and looked ok from the adverts. Henry's sister (Lindsay Sloane) puts him in touch with a psychic, Ashley (Lake Bell) to try and get him to move on with his life after Kate's death. I think Eva Longoria is great in Desperate Housewives so I rented this film and it was better than i expected it to be as with the title i was not expecting much out of the film, but i was plesantly suprised. It is a romantic comedy in which Kate played by Eva Longoria is killed on her wedding day to Henry played by Paul Rudd. This film is not for everyones tastes to be honest. i watched this film with my mum and found it so funny. I found it funny because in this romantic comedy a man falls in love with his psychic and his dead fiance keeps popping out of nowhere to scare the psychic. Absolutely none of it is scary. How she dies at the start is funny, as i couldn't imagine it, but most of the film is stuff i couldn't imagine. i can't honestly go out and say you must watch this film, as everyone prefers different things. What i would say is if you enjoy Eva's acting and a romantic comedy this is a good film to watch ... more
