Advantages: A classic album - the best ever? Disadvantages: None at all
...- I just feel that Pet Sounds is a better album than any Beatles album… it's stood the test of time better, and it's somehow more complete, and, yes, perfect.
Incidentally, I read somewhere that "God only Knows" is supposed to be Paul McCartney's favourite pop song. So the respect is mutual.
The album cover is slightly strange - the band members feeding goats at San Diego Zoo seems quite mundane, lighthearted even, especially in view of the perfect ...

.... *Everyone* has heard of Pet Sounds ..... haven't they?
This is my favourite Beach Boys album and my all time favourite album. It contains some of the Beach Boys hits, such as Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B and God Only Knows .... one of my favourite *singles* of all time! .... as well as lesser known tracks which still scream quailty from every pore (if music can have pores :-0)

...a lot of songs from pet sounds but hadnt heard them all together as a "piece".
On there own, songs like "wouldnt it be nice" and "sloop john b"are really great songs, but they become a lot more when listened to in there "natural surroundings".
The album covers every range of emotion, really "up" happy songs and real yearning melancholic songs like my personal favourite "caroline no".
