Moby - Play The title is so because every song in this album has been used in one form or another. Many have appeared in adverts, others in television shows, and some on the wireless. 18 tracks on one album, not bad. 18 unique, clever, diverse, uplifting, soulful, mellow pieces of great music. Advantages: very clever album with some excellent samples
Disadvantages: not much original material

Advantages: A long history of prpducing high quality and astoundingly diverse music.
Disadvantages: Some of his earliest techno work is not so good.

'Play' has been Moby's most successful album by a long way. Many of the people who loved 'Play' are now looking to some of Moby's earlier work, extending back nearly a decade, and finding a lot more quality music. After hearing this newest release from Moby, I'm convinced that he really enjoys throwing people for a loop. After being on the scene for quite some time, he released the critically acclaimed Everything Is Wrong, but followed it up with the bipolar Animal Rights. Advantages: Very Catchy
Disadvantages: Lots of instrumentals

...or 'sad.' Not one to play when you've been dumped. Despite what i've said I do like this song. 8/10 South side: Quite catchy, slow to start off with a faster chorus. Has a certain feel good factor. 8/10 Rushing: Slow despite the title, very calming and relaxing, perfect to wind-down to. Although a bit too slow for my liking. This album my brother bought and although I do not particularly like dance music and anything remotely similiar to dance music. However Moby's album has some of the catchiest tunes, (but not exactly annoying) I have ever heard! Sure enough after hearing only a couple of the songs I could not stop singing along to the tunes (and even dancing whilst making very strange guitar movements to the music). Advantages: Some pretty good songs
Disadvantages: Too long, too boring, too rubbish

...that, for the main part, Play is repetitive, boring, and thoroughly uninteresting. All the tracks revolve around a grooving beat and the occasional piano, string or keyboard chord. Which is fine if you like that sort of thing, ie most dance music. But I find it a bit tedious. And very few tracks actually feature Moby singing. Advantages: Excellent tunes for any occasion

This album was recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to borrow their copy. It was songs like 'Porcelain' and 'Natural blues' that made me go out and buy the album for myself, but the rest of the album is just as good to chill out to. I also saw Moby live on MTV not so long ago, and there is nothing better than seeing them live in front of thousands of fans who are screaming for more. Apparently every track on this album is used on television or in films and rightly so. The off the wall sound is appealing and easy to listen to. It isn’t pop although the tracks should appeal to pop fans. I first came to hear of Moby after his rewrite of the James Bond theme and I really liked that at the time. ...first thing I did was play it. Damn!, why did I wait so long? Excellent value for money aswell,because it has eighteen tracks on it. From the moving "Why does my heart feel so bad?" to the haunting "Porcelin", virtually every track is a classic. Not surprising that every single that Moby has released has been used as the soundtrack for a commercial somewhere in the world.Would I recommend it?, I think sales in excess of twenty million copies gives ...
