I bought it last year after hearing good things about it but before the singles were released and I was not disappointed. Moby brings his usual dance background to this album but also adds aspects of gospel, rock and ambience to different tracks. Sounds weird - they're probably the wrong words to use ...

I also went to Glasto the other week where I saw Moby perform on the Other Stage and not only was his performance excellent the whole vibe in the audience was top. I think it was helped because his set was just at the right time; when day was meeting night and his songs, especially the ones off Play, just seemed to strike a chord with the masses who had gathered. Well there is a valid reason why this is the album of the year! It is simply outstanding! Moby provides his listeners with an electric mix and fusion of all great sounds along with deep pure emotions to leave you amazed and hooked. The cd can psyche you up or alternatively sooth you, depending on your mood, the track and the moment. Some special songs include "Natural Blues", "Porcelain" and "Honey". The mix of folk music rhytm, piano's keyboards ...
...added with something special, his personality and emotions just envelop themselves into the music. There are 18 great songs, and I dont expect you to love them all or fall head over heels in love with them, but there will be defintely some you're immediately attracted to and some whee you will see the beautiful side when you're least expecting it! I never heard about Moby until a friend recommended it to me, but now I’m glad they did. This is a brilliant album if you like some of his songs! It has an incredible 18 tracks and most of them top quality. I really like this album and if this is your cup of tea too I suggest on buying it! ! A great album and well worth the money. The good thing about it is it has a large amount of tracks and you wont get bored of it! 8-) ...

Odd. I bought this album thanks to so many recommendations, and I had to check my CD collection. Every track I heard before. From 'My Weakness' appearing on The X-Files to 'The Sky Is Broken' promoting chocolate, I recognised each track as my CD player cycled through the list. Yet, I found myself humming or drifting along with the majority of the tracks, and in the end, there were only two tracks that I wasn't too keen on, the rather overused Find ...
...My Weakness, a delightful mix of soulful choir and discreet instrumental, and the classic Natural Blues. If you are as moody as I am, then there is a song for every mood on here, and it is the perfect music to just drift away too. I eagerly await the next album, and I fully recommend this to anyone who likes good music. A must for every CD collection. ...

I suggest when you listen to this album, that you sit in a chair positioned roughly in the middle of the speaker range of your hi-fi with the lights off, this gives the full effect of what Moby is trying to put over in the album. If you didn’t know, the album is based around samples of many different American musicians that one bloke and his son went around collecting – they devoted their lives to it – so there’s blues, gospel, even a bit of Barber shop. When you hear the singles, and hear the album for the first few times – you are amazed, and very glad you bought it - but it begins to wear off. The singles are all very addictive – but, unlike classic songs, begin to waver ...
...this is because of the lack of depth in many of his songs. However, it brightens up – there are songs that could be singles (Honey, Find My Baby), that probably will be singles soon – (How many has he released?!!) that are excellent – the really catchy guitar and keyboard that feature in most of his songs don’t get that annoying. There are some really outstanding songs on the CD, most of which have been released in the charts or will be released soon. This is definately Moby`s most consistantly quality album to date. Firstly, there is no bad track on the album, it rides through many genres from ambient, house, techno, hip-hop and rock.
