Advantages: The first CD. Disadvantages: The second CD.
As a fan of Radio 1's Live Lounge, I bought this double CD with fairly high expectations. Being a compilation album, I did expect it to be a bit hit-and-miss but also expected tracks to be on there that could be regulars in my playlists. Perhaps my personal tastes are too niche to appreciate the craft of some of the artists but I was still disappointed to find that even songs by artists I particularly like, such as The Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters, ...

Advantages: Cant get these live performances anywhere else Disadvantages: Some are terrible
...I heard it advertised on Radio 1 itself. To think we could purchase a whole load of different artists live performances on CD hadnt been heard of before. Simply brilliant idea, and a great way to beat the non-paying online downloaders.
Some of the perfomances are simply brilliant. Bands such as Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Keane are even better live than on your regular CD perfomance.

The Live Lounge on Radio One is a brilliant concept, and this long-awaited CD will not disappoint.

Advantages: Great acoustic music Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them
I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks.

the live lounge CD from radio 1 is formed my covers from other artists found on the jo whiley show. The CD shows the raw talent of some of the uk's new and upcoming artists. This CD also shows songs done in different ways, an intresting change to the songs you enjoy to listen to, and also making you love a song that before you could not stand to listen to. This CD contains 2 CD's so is full of tracks, 40 overall.

Advantages: VERY FEW... Disadvantages: NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO JOT THEM ALL DOWN...
...This is a case of Radio 1 trying to make a quick buck.
I confess that after an hour, I got fed up of fast-forwarding to the next song, and buried this cd under my cd collection... never to be taken out again. What a waste!
