How many music bands from Germany can you name? I’ve already written an op on one of my favourites; the Guano Apes but the chances are more likely that if you can name any at all it’ll be “Kraftwerk”.

Advantages: 1st Album To Feature The Electronic Quartet Disadvantages: Hollow Sound, Experemental Nature Of The Peices
Radio-Activity was the first Kraftwerk Album to feature what most folk regard as the definitive line up. The electronic quartet comprised of Ralph Hutter and Florian Schneider augmented by percussionists Karl Bartos and Wolfgang Flur. The album title is a truly dreadful play on words, as the album was about Radio and Radioactivity, it does suggest some dark Teutonic humor exists in start contrast to their public personas.

Radioactivity is an album by Kraftwerk, considered by many to be the fathers of electronic music. It is certainly of the high quality that many associate with the group.
So, what do we have on this album? Well, first there is the title track, Radioactivity, a song, surprisingly enough, about radioactivity. It features morse code and an almost haunting but very catch melody.
