...one way to start a Ramones review! So, how to define the sound of this seminal New York punk band? To me, they're a sort of new wave Beach Boys, with a Phil Spector-esque wall of sound and elements of early rock'n'rollers such as Eddie Cochran can be heard in the simple structure of the songs.
