Faithless are one of my favourite artists. In case you don’t know Faithless are made up of Maxi Jazz, Jamie Catto, Sister Bliss and Rollo. This foursome have had a huge amount of success, and still seem to have their feet on the ground. I am a huge fan so forgive me if I seem biased. Anyway this album starts brilliantly with the title track, and it is the deadpan tones of Maxi Jazz which make it work so well. My favourite lyrics have to be:

"Reverence" is the album that brought Faithless to full public attention - or rather, the album that contains the tracks that brought Faithless to full public attention. The trouble is, there's not much more to it than that. If you plotted the height that each track reaches, you would end up with the profile of a mountain range so forbidding it would make Chris Bonington hang up his ice-pick for good.

Rollo had been known as Felix (Don't you Want Me?), and Sister Bliss had worked as a DJ and musician throughout the acid house days, Maxi Jazz had been involved in sound systems around London, and Jamie Catto had been growing his hair and developing some great song writing skills.
